Things to do in Nan
Found this place after leaving another restaurant in Nan because the staff were so rude in the other restaurant, what a contrast, the staff here are so friendly and welcoming. Given the location in the local drinking / bar region of town I was not expecting much, how wrong I was, we actually asked some people in the car park if they knew of a good restaurant, they went over to Voila and came back with the manager, who told us they do fusion and pasta. We did not really want pasta but gave it ago anyway. The menu while having a good selection of pasta was not short of many other world foods. Glancing at what others were already eating I was encouraged. I ordered the avocado salad and the stewed beef cheeks, while my dining companion ordered a Thai fusion pasta "pad kee Mao (à¸à¸±à¸à¸à¸µà¹à¹à¸¡à¸²à¸à¸°à¹à¸¥) and the carbonara. The salad was very good, all hydroponic leaves, sweet tomatoes perfectly ripe avocado, sliced potatoes, onions and radishes with a creamy avocado dressing on the side. The beef cheeks were delicious, really rich sauce melt in the mouth beef served with a crisp fresh roti, the pad kee mao pasta was also delicious, the carbonara was the only let down, while it was acceptable there was too much cream (especially as the authentic recipe has no cream, although it is common to find it in carbonara in a lot of places). We found out the the chef / owner had trained in the Dusit Thani hotel in Bangkok. Overall exceptional tasting food for this part of Thailand and the dishes on offer, very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I wish I was staying in Nan longer so I could try more of the starters, mains and specials.
- not far from the airport - plenty of parking spaces - local shop - hot soup with meatballs and tender pork - fancy coconut bowl

"Gin" Love food of your taste. Enjoys food present by chef.
This restaurant is overrated for the quality. Their Caesarâs Salad need improvement on the dressings. For Italian dishes that use tomatoes, usually, you will not find a half cherry tomatoes since tomatoes are made into sauce! Itâs a good idea to have a restaurant offering international dishes in Nan. Keep trying!

Prices are very low here. The khao soi taste as it should. And you get your food quickly. But it's a very small restaurant so it can be difficult to get a table here

Pum 3 Nan is rather ordinary from the look from the outside. The restaurant is composed of several row houses with nothing outstanding from its decoration. However the key feature or star is the Chef Uthai that popularize his ' Massaman in Can' through national T.V. The restaurant also offers other dishes in their menu. We found to enjoy their variety of dishes more than the popular Massaman. Worth a visit if you are in Nan.

This restaurant, centrally located in Nan, serves excellent and authentic (bot not too spicy) Thai Food. We had five different dishes, and all were good to excellent. Please note that the restaurant closes rather early (around 9 pm) - so go there in time. The staff seemed a bit tired and not very motivated (but it was the end of a long working day).

I visited Nan with my family and Wanda restaurant is one of my favorite place. Warm welcome from owner Wanda, she took care all guests and ask for recommendations of improvement. Foods and desserts are good taste and very cheap compare with other famous places in Nan. Cheer!!

The Thai wife and I eat lunch here at least two times a week. We've been coming for about six weeks now after noticing it was always quite busy, sometimes with a queue. It is an open air restaurant in central Nan and basically it is all about noodles and pork. They know our orders now. I have egg noodles in a tom yum soup with pork bone and pork slices. The wife has the dry version of the same dish. Her soup, more a broth really, is served separately. I love the taste of the spicy tom yum soup, the mouth feel of the egg noodles but mainly the generous amount of pork available from the bones. I love this place and will miss it when we move up the 101 to Pua.Cost for two lunches with water and a tip is 140 baht. Amazing.

We had a nice buffet lunch. The food was tasty and healthy. The service was friendly. The cafe was clean and comfortable but difficult to locate. I would recommend this cafe.
