Having travelled all around Asia we love all asian food, in general the standard of Asian food in France is poor therefore after reading the TA reviews we were quite excited about eating in Thanh Long. My daughter had vegetarian Thai noodles, whilst the veg was fresh the dish as a whole was quite tasteless and had no spice or flavour. I had the house speciality which was just grilled pork and frozen prawns served with a green salad again no flavour to the dish, my husband had the beef with mushrooms which he found reasonably pleasant. I would definitely not return to this restaurant and have learnt to stick with French restaurants while in France. The staff were very pleasant and the prices were reasonable.

Not wanting to go into Montpellier, my son and I tried out this little restaurant in the Aube Rouge quartier. Not much to look at, but the food is freshly prepared and very tasty. I had a porc nem which was very good, and Bô bun (Vermicelle de riz au boeuf sauté) which was excellent - lovely subtle flavours and lots of fresh vegetables. My son had the Porc au caramel which he also enjoyed. Total bill with beer and soda 33⬠so very reasonable. The couple serving and cooking are delightful and friendly. Definitely a good address. They do take-away too.

Japanese cuisine at its finest! Great, fresh food, beautifully prepared, wonderful and attentive service! Many (most) japanese restaurants in France have nothing really japanese besides the naming, but not here! It surprised us considering the location which is not exactly âcentralâ in the region. No parking at the restaurantand few spots close by....

My boyfriend and I had lunch in this restaurant and we paid 30+ euros for very little food. Rolls and makis are half the size they should be, I ordered 12 and I was still hungry after I ate them. My boyfriend ordered a "box nouilles sautees" and the bowl was a joke, it looked more like an appetizer. I was very dissapointed. What a pity not to have expressed your dissatisfaction, especially if we consider that our establishment was on leave during your supposed passage. Also sad to have to use 2 accounts with 2 negative reviews for the same meal.we can not advise you too much in case of dissatisfaction to discuss with the restorer who receives you it is much more constructive and the relationship can only be improved.cordiallySUSHI KAWAIIQuel dommage de ne pas nous avoir exprimé votre mécontentement, surtout si l'on considére que notre établissement était en congé lors de votre passage supposé. The restaurant is located in the historical area "l'Ecusson" in a peacfull street. 20 seats inside and 12 seats outdoor. Meals are a fusion of Korean, japanese and French food. Nice wine list,Korean and japaneses beers.
Umami is an intimate and cosy restaurant, set off a quiet walkway in the charming old town of Montpellier, surrounded by beautiful period buildings. Booking is recommended as the restaurant only has around 10 tables. The host was friendly and knowledgeable, and spoke very good English. The menu isnât overly extensive and is largely Korean-influenced. We thought the dishes were presented with flair and creativity and packed full of flavours. A really nice touch was the chef coming to sing me happy birthday in Korean at the end of the meal - thank you!
