Minot (/ˈmaɪnɒt/ ( listen) MY-not) is a city in and the county seat of Ward County, North Dakota, United States, in the state's north-central region. It is most widely known for the Air Force base located approximately 15 miles (24 km) north of the city. With a population of 40,888 at the 2010 census, Minot is the fourth largest city in the state and a trading center for a large portion of northern North Dakota, southwestern Manitoba, and southeastern Saskatchewan. Founded in 1886 during the construction of the Great Northern Railway, Minot is also known as "Magic City", commemorating its remarkable growth in size over a short time.

JJ's Korean Kitchen food truck has really good food and fair prices. Orders can be called in to avoid the long lines typical of lunch hour on Minot AFB. They will gladly adjust the level of heat to your liking. Have eaten there several times and never got a bad meal. Located off the Exchange Food court, patio seating is available out side as well as regular seating inside the food court.

I have made it a point to eat at Chinese buffets all across Canada and the USA. I LOVE Chinese restaurants and especially buffets where I can sample all of the different foods. At China Star the servers were great! I am afraid that is where the good ends. The buffet line was dirty and items were mislabeled. The sauces were too heavy and overly sweet and hold it in until you can access a different bathroom. It was disgusting. I wanted too love this place as it was recommended to me by a work colleague. His family loves it. Maybe it was a bad day, but I wouldnât take a chance again. I really love even bad Chinese food. Just not here.

As I said, it's a decently priced, good quality meal with lots of variety, but the building/seating area needs some serious TLC.

The Thai Hot staff took very good care of our table of 10. Large tables are not always easy to serve. We all left happy! I ordered the Pad Thai w/Chicken, the Jammy Roll, and the California Roll. All were very well prepared. The prices are a bit steeper here than other area Asian style restaurants in the area. I was actually surprised at the elevated prices when I opened the menu. I would certainly return here to try more food items from their menu!

i ordered their special garlic beef, where to start... with the garlic I suppose, it was sprinkled across the cold dried up beef, not to mention they used dehydrated garlic without at least reconstituting it, imagine dried crunchy garlic flakes on cold beef, the high point of the meal was the rice. There is no way this place is quick, like other have stated.

Six of us ate at N.D. Asia this evening and left very satisfied! Quickly greeted and quickly seated. Clean place. Customers sitting around us all seemed very happy. Friendly and patient staff, especially with the six of us chatting things up. Food order came up fast. Everyone of us enjoyed our meals. I thought my meal was delicious! Servers were very attentive to filling beverages and pre-bussing tables. It was a very good evening at N.D. Asia!

Yes, times have changed since 20-30 years ago. Even in a small city (population 48,743 as of year 2016 estimate) like Minot in North Dakota, here is a Japanese restaurant that features Teppanyaki style dining. Frozen fish can be shipped via air. Talented chefs can be recruited,Had a dinner at Sakura as I stayed overnight at Holiday Inn Express, about 2 miles from here.Service was on par with typical "party style" teppanyaki. Price was reasonable. Interior décor was OK.Food - very good Grilled Filet Mignon + Scallop + Shrimp + Vegetable + Noodle + Rice Salad + Soup Green Tea

The restaurant was hard to find at first since I'm not from the area and the decor is a bit much but that didn't take away from our experience. The food is so delicious! I live in South Florida and the Little Blue Elephant rivals any sushi joint there. My favorite place to eat in Minot! Check it out, you won't be disappointed!
