Number One Taste provides reasonably priced tasty Chinese take-out food in the area. They do the basics pretty well â General Gauâs Chicken, lobster sauce, pan fried noodles, egg foo young, beef with broccoli and Yang Chow fried rice. Weâve ordered here a couple of times and have never been disappointed. If you are craving Americanized Chinese take-out/delivery, this is the place to go.

Absolutely awful experience. I checked out their menu that arrived in the mail, and thought I would give them a try on a night when I didn't want to cook or go out to pick anything up. I did the online ordering (more on that later) which wasn't the most user friendly experience. Delivery was noted as "within 30 minutes" which was pretty close to on-time.Opted for the "Panang Crispy Duck" with curry sauce and plain rice. The best part of the meal was the cardboard box that the rice came in. I mean, how can they mess up steamed rice? And that was the good part. The duck (if it was duck) was so overcooked in the thickest, greasiest breading I have ever seen. Think deep fried chicken fingers two days in the refrigerator then re-heated. Completely inedible, and if it was ever crispy, it was in another lifetime. The curry sauce was sort of the color of curry, but super runny and not at all spicy. Very disappointing, and to finish off the review - the ordering process takes you to a third party web based application that IIRC is something like "Chinese Food Express" or something similar. It purports to be secure (https//etc.) HOWEVER - the day after I ordered and threw away the food, my computer was infected, and my credit card was shut off for "suspicious activity." Fortunately I didn't have to pay anything, just had to clean my computer of malware and change several accounts where my credit card is on file for scheduled payments. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I would steer clear of this outfit.

Sushi Corner has been producing reasonably priced, great tasting sushi for over a decade. This family run operation is as consistently good as any place I've seen. The sushi is made with great care, portions are generous and the prices are extremely reasonable. Special rolls, maki, sashimi, appetizers - everything is always excellent. It is pretty much a take-out spot and is well-hidden on the edge of an off-street parking lot. Over the years though people have found their way to it. There is not much atmosphere when you eat there but you can byob which is nice. Other than a brief ill-fated experiment with a Chinese menu, they have been on top of their game for over a decade. Let's hope they keep on.

I would return. I was skeptical the first time I tried this place because generally when a restaurant has sushi and General Gau's chicken, it's not a good sign. However, I have to say that this place does both sushi and familiar Chinese favorites pretty well. Nice clean decor, service is adequate. Good if you have a group to please or if you want a little of both.

Just off Main Street in Melrose close to Malden. Nice ambiance with the chefs right there. They have tables, and a bar seating set up. Good service extensive menu with a lot of choices - all delicious. Nice touch is the tempura flakes in many of the maki's. A bit on the expensive side but who wants cheap sushi hang over. Free parking outside of the restaurant.
