I love this place and visit whenever I am in the area. I enjoy the delicious food. An important part of the experience is the service and attitude of the staff and I find them to be helpful and friendly. I enjoy the little restaurant, where Ma's Donuts was situated for many years in my youth. I find it a great match for their simple and delicious Thai food offerings.

Sivalai Thai Cuisine II at 710 State Road N. Dartmouth is located in a strip mall and is unassuming. However, once inside the place has a garden setting interior and a friendly staff, who guide you through Thai cuisine. There are many creative touches here. The presentations are beautifully done and the food is cooked to order using fresh ingredients. The Tung -Thongs of deep fried bagged chicken, corn, and chestnuts were delicious and not greasy. The Moo-Ping Pork with sticky rice were perfectly cooked and were tender and lightly spiced. The Basil Pad Thai was delectable. The Thai hot tea was satisfying and the lavender blue Butterfly Tea was a rare find. The prices are moderate. The service is polite with a smile.

My daughter handed me a menu which was quite extensive and we called in the order. Drove up to the window and picked up our fresh hot food to bring home. We got three different combination plates and all were excellent. One can also use the fast food feature of a drive-up menu, order and pick up at the window. I love Thai food and this was just great. Fast and fresh. Each dish was huge and provided two meals!

Gourmet Garden provides a quaint, quiet and beautiful atmosphere. Service is very personal and friendly. Offering the finest Japenese and Chinese cuisine, our food is fresh daily and our presentations are extremely attractive making your dining experience
After reading mixed reviews of this restaurant we decided to take the plunge and decide for ourselves. We started with tuna tataki which was seared perfectly and had a mild sauce that allowed the tuna to be the star. We followed with a spicy tuna maritime. Again a winner. Red dragon roll was also good. Sushi deluxe was very good and the fish was obviously very fresh. We will be back, probably next week!

Lets get history straight. This was the old Cathay Temple. I had my First Communion dinner here in 1953. Opened in 1949, I still have the T-shirt souvenir from its first closing in 2000. Members of the family made several attempts to reopen and finally gave up. It was then opened as the Ying Dynasty. I was brought up in Mattapoisett and visit a few times each year. It will never be the Cathay, but the ribs, wings, egg rolls and the fried rice bring back old memories. Scallop dishes reminiscent of the past, too. I grew up on âNew Bedfordâ Chinese food and will always return!

The dishes we had tonight were delightful. The vegetables were perfectly al dente; and the flavours were pleasantly spicy. In addition to the good food was the great service. Although the dining room was full and people waiting, they were friendly and attentive. Definitely no urban attitude.
