....if I had only ordered one entree. Being my first time here I decided to pick up a couple entrees to try especially since they had one of my favorite items on the menu, Singapore noodles (#44). It was excellent. Nice bit of heat, great curry flavor and good selection of meats. The hot and sour soup (#17) was very good too. I really liked the use of fresh mushrooms. It was a nice touch not done at many places. They also added a free order of honey cakes (#11) which were quite tasty and a pleasant surprise. If my meal would have ended here I would have given then 4 stars. However, I did not care for the egg roll (#4). It was fried well but the contents were mushy, drab, and boring. I also did not like the orange beef (#f4). There was too much breading and too much sauce. The resulting combination was a mushy mess. The sauce was good just way too much. Had they used less breading and cooked it crispy then just lightly sauced it it would have been better.Given my first paragraph and the other good reviews I will definitely give them another try when I come back to marianna.Btw the portions are very large....the two entrees I ordered (which I barely made a dent in) could easily feed 3 people each.
Where to eat Seafood food in Marianna: The Best Restaurants and Bars
There are three considerations here that made this place average:*Fish amount was small compared to rice amount.*Price was the same for two roll special that it would be anywhere else in a larger town for three rolls. Set-up for sushi special was oddly limiting in terms of choices.*To-go order was in a tied plastic bag. After leaving, I discovered there were no chopsticks, other utensils, or napkins. I ended up having to wait to eat my order with a fork an hour later.Service, other than the above, was good. Environment was fine. Location was odd; it on the far end of town near the car dealerships, and the parking lot has one way traffic.I would go here again if I didnât want to drive to Dothan, Panama City, or Tallahassee, and I couldnât settle for anything other than sushi. While the service was friendly, I donât know if I can look past the value of the sushi on a regular basis. Still, itâs really nice to have a different option in Marianna!
I was driving by to Alabama and found this hidden Chinese Buffet in Marianna, Florida in a shopping center on highway 71. The price was decent around 9 bucks per person and the food was really good with all you can eat buffet. I counted at least 8 kinds of deserts in addition to the fruits and ice cream. Yes folks, they also had crab legs but a sign of (not all you can eat). They had at least 20 entries to choose from and trust me, the food tasted good. They also had the Japanese grilled chicken which tasted pretty good. The restaurant was kind of busy so the food was always fresh. The only issue I found is that the tables were kind of run down with the cover plastics ripped but heck, I was there to only eat since I was just passing by. If you are passing by Marianna, give the buffet a try and let me know.
