I went here with a group of friends, and we got the "reservation room," which can easily seat 20 people or more (though there's a charge to reserve it). We ordered family style, and even though we asked for less than one dish per person, we wound up with way more food than we needed. The food was good, varied, fresh, and delivered by a very friendly and knowledgeable waitress. Even when I called to make the reservation, the woman on the phone was friendly and flexible. The restaurant itself is really pretty small, but the menu has a lot of good, different choices. I'm not often in the mood for Chinese, but the next time I am, this is where I'll go.

Took friends to dinner while visiting in Manhattan, KS. Place pretty much empty at 4:30 PM on a Saturday. Two other couples came in after we did. The one hostess/waitress was noisy [loud] in cleaning other tables off gave us menus and asked what we wanted - no time to really look, then asked what we wanted to drink. When she came back with the water and iced teas she wanted to know again what we wanted. We ordered and when she brought the meals she had to ask again who got what! The Food - the Chicken looked and tasted like it had been frozen in a box for at least a year and was no presentation. The Pork and vegetables and a second pork dinner two other guests had were luke warm and massive veggies and little meat. The Fried Won Ton and the Fried Dumplings were again something out of a frozen box and thrown into a deep fryer. Before we were even done the waitress wants to know if we wanted boxes and presented the bill. Lots of training of staff and chef to prepare "Chinese" food and not thaw from a box - tasteless. Would NEVER return, nor will our friends that live in Manhattan!

Live or staying at a hotel nearby in Manhattan Kansas and have the craving for sushi order from green tea sushi bar. Hop online and order everything right from their website. It's super easy you can add items to your cart and pay directly to the website and it will show up to your door in 45 to 60 minutes. I ordered some yellowtail, Salmon, spicy tuna, spider roll, and some other specialty chef rolls. For being a landlocked state by Kansas this is pretty good sushi.

From the exterior the Imperial Garden Express looks just like all those other fast-food Chinese food places stuck in strip malls all over the country. A quick glance inside can confirm that observation. It is a plain, utilitarian place to eat food. A second glance however, suggests that this restaurant may have more to offer than simply deep-frying frozen chicken chunks. On the Saturday evening we were there every other customer in the restaurant was Asian. Everyone was busy eating lovely plates of food, chop sticks were flying and conversation in Chinese was everywhere.Located near the university, it was clear that Asian students were in this restaurant for a taste from home. The typical Chinese-America foods are displayed on the menu board, but for those in the know there is a secret menu located at the counter. This is where you will find the more authentic Asian dishes, and it is where all of those students obtained their selections. Our family of six ordered from this menu, and we enjoyed a meal worthy of the most elegant Asian restaurant in any metropolitan area. There are no steam tables holding tired vegetables and soggy pieces of sweet and sour chicken. Every thing in this restaurant is cooked fresh to order. I had a pork rib dish that was so good I mourn weekly that Kansas is 1500 miles from where we live.Every member of our family ordered something different, and every dish was a winner. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The meats were flavorful and tender. The sauces were not commercially prepared and purchased, but clearly crafted right in the restaurant. This is not a table service restaurant. You order at the counter and pick up your own food. The staff, however, appear to be actively engaged in the preparation of food, and also take an interest in your opinion of what you are eating.Obviously because it is popular with college students it is not an expensive restaurant. I thought the meal was unbelievable inexpensive. The atmosphere is pure utility, so it may not be the best place to stage a wedding proposal or celebrate a special birthday, but they have a busy take-out service which permits you to take your food to a more romantic atmosphere if you wish. You cannot go wrong selecting this outstanding little restaurant.

Our California visitor craved Pho (not a common offering on Kansas menus) and was pleasantly surprised to find that this restaurant's version was pretty close to the offerings at SO CAL Vietnamese restaurants. While only beef Pho is on the menu, chicken or shrimp are also available... just ask. Tucked away in the Handy Corner area of Aggieville the restaurant also does a brisk carry out business catering to soldiers and college students alike.
We couldn't find the Mexican restaurant we were looking for but fortunately we discovered âTasty China Houseâ. This is a spacious restaurant with a bit of an industrial feel. Iâm sure that the space is needed, especially on weekends during the school year in this college town. The restaurant was clean and well maintained and it included a full barâ¦We each ordered a 'small' bowl of Hot and Sour Soup. ($2.90) It was a very large bowl, very spicy and very good! The usual won ton crisps that many Chinese restaurants automatically bring to the table were not âthe usualâ. They were a couple notches above ordinary. As per Tasty China Houseâs website, the restaurant, which opened in 2012, is âdedicated to offering the best authentic Chinese food to our customersâ. The manager of Tasty China House is actually from China. For her entrée, Laurie ordered the Mongolian Beef with onions in a nice brown sauceâ¦extra spicy with brown rice! ($11.95) Can you believe how much food she got for the money? Better yet, it was excellent!I went with the Dragon and Phoenixâ¦a combination of General Tsoâs chicken and Royal Peking Shrimp. ($12.95) Once again the quantity was over the top! The chicken was very good and the shrimp were excellent!Tasty China House is not your typical local Chinese eatery⦠It has a number of entrées on the menu that you usually only find in big city Chinese restaurants in established areas of town. Here a few examples:· Sauteed or Spicy Pork Intestines ($10.95)· Cumin Lamb ($18.95)· Spicy Stewed Chicken Wings ($12.95)· Seasoned Pork Ear and Tongue ($9.95)· Preserved Duck Egg with Tofu in Spicy Red Hot Oil ($7.95)· Winter Melon with Meat Ball Soup ($9.95)· Kung Pao Squid ($12.95)· Spicy Dried Sauteed Whole Shelled Shrimp ($13.95)· Tapioca Milk Teaâ¦several flavors ($4.75)· Spicy Beef Tendon ($10.95)· Jelly Fish with Dark Vinegar ($12.95)· Braised Duck Necks ($10.95)We would really really like to have this restaurant located anywhere in the area where we live! The value was terrific and it matched the food⦠The variety of choices offered on the menu was both wonderful and intimidating...but weâd love to have the opportunity to be intimidated on a regular basis!

Come by your local Noodles & Company at 705 N. 3rd Street, , Manhattan where its globally inspired dishes including noodles, soups and salads, come together to create a World Kitchen.
Have been here a couple times now. Food is always hot and delicious. The noodles are wonderful and filling. Some can be a little spicy. Outdoor eating available.

We rode our motorcycle 2 hours to eat at HuHot. We've been there several times. We like the fact that we can pick our food and sauces. Always trying something new. Service was great and our server checked on us often. The grill guys weren't as entertaining as some we've seen in the past. There was a guy who worked there in a red shirt (assuming he was Mgt.) who filled some to-go containers and touched the food with his fingers (no gloves on...) to mash down the food. Thought that was very inappropriate. He also stood and complained with a customer (whom he apparently knew) about someone who was a Mgr somewhere and talked about how poorly he managed things. Not good to do in front of customers. Love the food and this HuHot is always cleaner than the one in Wichita.

This is the 2nd time Iâve eaten at Umi. This time, we were celebrating my nieceâs birthday. Our hibachi chef, J, was awesome. The food was delicious! My niece has several food allergies and they were very accommodating!

The food is well prepared, and the service is good. I had the peanut curry with pork for lunch. The only downside was that the pork was rather thick with no knife provided (of course, one can request one): I prefer a more shredded variety, but that is a matter of taste. The portion was quite large and I had to do one-half with take-out. One could rather easily share one dish with another person if one is not very hungry. I plan to go again next week for lunch to try one of the stir-fries.
