Have previously eaten here about a dozen times, but not recently. Went here last Monday with wife and friends. We started with some appetizers, crispy tofu, stuffed mushrooms, and steamed dumplings. All were very tasty, especially the crispy tofu. All four of us had a siss;ing dish, but all different namely spicy beef, spicy lamb, chicken satay, and spicy squid. All four dishes were very good with plenty of vegetables in the dishes. Service was good and efficient, despite the restaurant being very busy. Mr Ji's kitchen continues to deliver high quality and tasty meals and we will definitely continue to eat here for as long as they remain open.

New Fortuna is an authentic Chinese restaurant with very good and reasonibly priced dishes. We went there three times in a span of 10 days. The steamed fish (blue cod) with scallions and ginger was excellent. It easily fed two people and was a bargain at NZ $48. We also tried the Yumcha on a Sunday and the quality could easily rival with that in the China Towns in San Francisco or New York. It was also priced very reasonably. We also tried the Peking Duck two ways. They first serve the skin traditionally with thin pancakes, cut scallions, cucumbers and carrots. The skin was beautifully crisp and aromatic but the pancakes were a bit too thick and already cold by the time they arrived at the table. The second batch we ordered was hot though. The plum sauce was a tick too thick and we have had better. The second course was the red meat of the duck cooked with onions and bell pepers and it was served with crips lettuce leafs. The meat was nicely seasoned (may be a bit too salty) but was great to eat with the lettuce leafs. Overall the dish is still very recommendable, especially at NZ $ 68 for two. Service was friendly (unusual for genuine Chinese places) and efficient. Recommended!

We dined here with my parents and two 5 yr olds. We didnât have a reservation, but were swiftly ushered to a suitable table. Orders were taken when they saw we were ready and less than 10-15 mins later the food started to arrive. We ordered salt & pepper squid, minus the spice for the kids. Beef and black bean, orange chicken, chicken & vegetable schezwan, and another chicken & veggie dish followed, plus an entree of pork dumplings and rice for the table. Food was packed full of flavour and the kids were going crazy with all the entertainment of the multiple dishes arriving and being shared. Service was very good. This is a great spot for uncomplicated, quick food that appeals to the whole family. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

All the usual, normal and guest approved asian foods, plus Indian delights too.Quite an extensive menu with something sure to please for most people. They also do take aways.I wanted a "quick lunch" and settled on a Clay pot Fish curry - marinated fish with a highly spices gravy, Yum, Yum...It comes complete with rice, pompodoms, and roti bread. All for $13.50 has to be a good lunch dealIts compact with room for 25 diners ground floor with the same also available upstairs.Worth visiting; I certainly will return soon I hope to savour more delights

Restaurants are very chef dependent, I was pleasantly surprised this visit I need to say. I wish the quality was able to be sustained it would rate high all of the time instead of fluctuations. The service was friendly, swift and appropriate. The food was all high quality very fresh and cooked to order.Th vegetables were crisp not over cooked, the rice light and fluffy. On this occasion it was a faultless visit.

I've visited K Sing many years ago as everyone was raving about how good it was, and I was extremely impressed back then - so we happened to have dinner there before a movie the other night. Wow what a sensational meal !! The 'medium' hotness specified was actually very hot, but the food was so delicious that we didn't mind. The Larb was the standout for me - beautifully fresh & salty & sour & sweet & spicy. The chicken curry (forget the name - it was No.22 on the menu) was a perfect counter balance & the Tom Yum soup was amazing. Go there, try it !!

Visited Chilli Masala on recommendation from a friend in Wellington, and was impressed with the authentic taste, quantities and good service! You must try the biriyani dishes, the basmati cooked in stock really is delicious. The vegetarian samosas were perfect, as was the Dosa - crisp and delicate.Try the Pepper Lamb , it was tasty and I preferred âhotâ, sensational, needed the cold beer!

Modern fusion dining at its best awaits you in the heritage-listed Dentist building on Jackson street, Petone.
Food was amazingly presented and the taste lived up to the appearance. The service was adequate; some weirdness about the table candles, but otherwise attentive and great wine recommendations. Disappointed that we were too full for dessert!
