Our visit to the small Cafe - Yurt Altan, located right off the main street of Listvyanka, Russia, was fun. You get to experience eating in a real, honest-to-goodness, Russian Yurt / Mongolian Ger. As we entered we were greeted with a pleasant warm smile from the hostess. You then proceed to an order counter and place your order. The menu is quite complete. Then your order is delivered to your table. We enjoyed traditional Buriat food along with a Chicken Caesar Salad and bread. Everything was very tasty.

Went for lunch, food pre-decided by the agency that organised my trip to Russia. Nevertheless, they brought a very good soup ( clear soup with fish). Was very good. Next came the " papillotte of Omoul ", the white Baikal fish. It was oven cooked with cheese and herbs. Was really delicious. Services was ordinary. Could be because we arrived at an odd time of the day, but still, not very warm, all along our time there. Very nice view of the Lake. Everything seemed very clean, from where we were in the dining room. Was pre-paid by agency, so I can't comment on price.Thank you for your feedback. We try to make your time spent in our restaurant a pleasure. We are waiting for you again!

Great lakeside views, looking down the littoral, across the lake and over to the mountains.Very basic menu but the food is very well prepared and presented and delicious to eat.Incredibly cheap.A must visit.

I had fish soup and boiled potatoes. The soup was very good. Others in our group had meat and rice dishes with the meat smoked on an outside grill and were rated as good to very good. Counter service with pleasant, small indoor eating space. Those coming in the high season have a nice looking patio overlooking the lake. Prices very reasonable. Wide selection of beer. A drawback is that the only toilet facilities are of the porta -potty type. But a good choice for a casual meal.
