I have not tried the other indian resturants on this island, but after reading the reviews, Gurkha seemed like the better option. Atmosphere is ok, a bit cheapish. Staff is friendly. Good food with quality meat and good spices. Large portions, so your not leaving here hungry.:)Recommended!

The Great Wall Is The Largest Chinese Resturant On The Shetland Islands
Amazing and the hospitality was outstanding, from the minute we walked in till we went out. The food was amazing, so tasty, even my husband's as he didn't know what to choose, and the gentleman chose something for my husband which he chose. And the desert was chosen for us and again outstanding. And to top it off we got a lovely glass of lovely wine with grapes which we didn't expect as it was our wedding anniversary, which was a lovely surprise. A lovely way to end a lovely meal. Exceptional service

Dined inside a windowless café with pleasant piped in Asian music. Enjoyed a tasty Beef Gaeng Panaeng (Aromatic Red Curry), a curry made with coconut milk, lime leaf & chili (£6.50), Koaw Saul (Steamed Rice) (£2.60) and pot of tea (£2.00). Inattentive male waiter appeared to have little or no training. After asking for and receiving bill, waiter failed to return to collect payment. Will order takeaway next time.

Whatâs good. The front of house are lovely. The atmosphere is not all that, a bit tired and mouldy. The starter was ok, not good, and not what I ordered but edible. The main, ordered as a vindaloo was tasteless and mild. They offered to recook the main, they did and it was better but still not great. I felt bad and paid £30 even though they only asked for £15. The beer was good and cheap, I liked the people and feel bad for giving a poor review but itâs about the food and I wish Iâd gone to the Chinese. Sorry
