Wong's Golden Palace is my favorite Chinese restaurant in San Diego. They are a family owed business who have been serving La Mesa for almost 50 years. They have an extensive menu with delicious Cantonese, Mandarin and Szechuan dishes, and they also have a full bar. The servers are always friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with traditional Chinese decorations. Be sure to visit the koi pond!

We recently ordered take-out for 17 and found the food good but not remarkable. I think it would have been better if we dined there as by the time we got home the broccoli in the beef and broccoli was over done. The kung pao chicken was very mild, not spicy like I am used to. Both the hot and sour and the egg flower soups were quite good. The walnut shrimp was good as was the sweet and sour chicken. We liked the pot stickers but they had cooled off by the time we served it. I would like to try a meal at the restaurant the next time.

Arigato is tucked into a little strip mall in a largely residential area. The food is authentic and reasonably priced (although, of course, there are sushi rolls etc. that cater to the California market). The restaurant started out as a virtual hole-in-the-wall operation and has expanded. Its survival and growth in a non-ethnic neighborhood attests to the quality and value of its food. A very friendly place.

Here at Banbu Sushi Bar & Grill we are committed to providing our customers with an excellent dining experience. Each dish on our menu is prepared using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Banbu Sushi Bar & Grill is unique with its classic
There is something for everyone here, no matter your experience or palate. Chef Horita is simply the best sushi chef there is, but the restaurant offers a broad range of excellent items. An entire restaurant full of happy customers on an a busy Tuesday night reflects well on everyone working there, top to bottom. The reason? Great food, great atmosphere, great people. Our family loves this place.

I wanted to avoid driving from Rancho San Diego to Kearny Mesa for great Ramen and Teriyaki Bowls. My daughter lives in Rancho San Diego and I was tired from driving around all-day and kids wanted rice bowls. So, I looked at Japanese restaurants closest to Rancho San Diego/El Cajon area and found a couple of places with good ratings. All I could hope was NOT to be disappointed.. Place was packed at first and waited only 10 minutes. I was very skeptical since staff was not Japanese (as in Kearny Mesa area) but I was NOT disappointed with the food. Teriyaki bowls are very large including the Sushi Rolls. And there is a large choice of Rolls to choose from. The Ramen was also very tasty and while at first appearance the ramen bowls look small, it's actually comparable, with a LOT less broth. I would go again and save me a lot of time driving not to mention the parking was not an issue as it is in Kearny Mesa. Great location, plenty of parking, easy in and out. Great place for lunch, dinner, or business. Place is very clean.

I like Thai food. I have had it all over the world, including Australia. This place is authentic and run by Thai staff who are very friendly and courteous. The food is very healthy and light, but you can get it as spicy as you want. Atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Lunch special is priced right.

My wife and I went to eat dinner tonight at Chin's Restaurant in La Mesa CA, and were blown away when we entered the restaurant. The amassing Elegant, Clean, and beautiful Chinese design of the restaurant was so beautiful, that you could not take your eyes off of it. Calvin Guo our server was so nice as he seated us and answered all of our questions about the menu and the restaurant. Chin's has a very Big menu, with all kinds of choices to choose from. Even their Menu was beautiful. Calvin brought us an appetizer of Spring Rolls and Cream Cheese Won tons to try. They were very good. My wife ordered the Tangerine Crispy Beef é³ç®ç with hot chunks of crispy beef sauteed with tangerine peel and chili peppers in a Chef's special sauce. It looked and tasted very good. I ordered the Kung Pao Three Flavor å ¬ä¿ä¸æ¨£ which was a combination of chicken, shrimp and scallops, sauteed with mushrooms, water chestnuts and peanuts, in spicy Kung Pao sauce. The Scallops were so tender, and the Shrimp and Chicken was very tasty. Both dinner portions were very large, and came with either fried or white rice. Chin's Manager Diane Lieng came by our table a couple of times to say Hi, and to make sure everything was going OK. We will definitely be coming back to Chin's in La Mesa, as it is definitely one of the nicest restaurants in the La Mesa Area.

This was my first time here and we enjoyed ourselves. Now I am not a Thai food expert and not real big on coconut milk so I tend to lean toward the noodles. We had a calamari appetizer that was good. The spicy seafood soup was great and at spicy level 3 was just right for my taste. We also had Pad see-ew noodles, spicy fried rice and mango curry. All were excellent. IT a relatively small place and easy to miss when you look for it but we will be coming back. Just a little warning for non Thai experts. If they say it's spicy they are not lying. Maybe I'm just a wimp but spice level 3 was my limit. Decent prices and good service helped to seal the deal.
