While driving towards Mum Goa highway via Kolhapur we had our lunch at Tandoor. This is located in Shivaji Park kolhapur which is easily locatable in google Maps. Service is real quick here and staff is polite. Paneer dishes were good in taste and North Indian dishes deserve the special mention for there taste. Overall a very good place to have your meal with good taste and quick service.

Despite some other reviews had an amazing food evening at the Castle with exceedingly superb service by the staff.Must try are the mutton dishes especially the mutton kaala (black) an in-house specialty as well as the kolhapur special pandara (white) and tambada (red) rasas (stews). The chicken dishes while good didn't measure up to the succulent mutton curries. The plain biryani style rice dish was amazing. Vegetarians also get a good choice of items. The rotis were the best ones we had in a long time. The veg biryani was also quite good. The place offers both indoor and outdoor seating and is very popular amongst locals.
World Famous Hotel Bawada Misal Of Kolhapur Since : 1923

We welcome you to a delicious feast of authentic and Kolhapuri special cuisine at Patlacha Wada. With a wide range of veg and non-veg cuisines to choose from, we guarantee you a lavish food experience in our restaurant.
Mouth watering Tambda and Pandhra rassa, to begin with increased our hopes about food and no wonder...the food came to our expectations....this was during my first visit to this superb restaurant....we had a mix of vegetarians and nonvegetarians in the family group and bothe were extremely satisfied with the food...The ambiance too is very good and very friendly staff....one must try Kheema Pav for breakfast (my recommendation as in subsequent tour, i tried BR too there, even Poha and Uppit were delicious (my wife prefers veg stuff for Breakfast!) in all excellent experience and I make it a point now to plan one meal at this place

Had lunch at this hotel. It is is in good demand. However, the service is very prompt and fast. The food was very tasty and the quantity per plate was abundant. The ambiance was pleasant. Would recommend for South-Indian dish lovers.

We visited Parakh for dinner and ordered Special mutton thali. Along with Sukha mutton which is standard we were offered a choice of mutton kheema or egg masala and chapati or bhakri. We opted for mutton kheema and chapati.Sukha mutton was very spicy with a lot of pepperoni and very tasty, so also kheema. Food was steaming hot so were the chapatis. Lal rassa and pandhara rassa were tasty and were refilled continuesly. After finishing they served pulao along with some mutton pieces. I must add here that when we entered the restaurant we were starving and tired after a long drive of about seven hours. By the time we finished our stomachs were filled to the brim. All this at Rs 270. Though I must mention here that it not a fancy place sans any decor. It is located along the main road and has ample parking.Highly recommended for foodies.
