On January 1, 2006 Kasterlee had a total population of 17,908. The total area is 71.56 km² which gives a population density of 250 inhabitants per km². The town is twinned with Plaffeien.

Excellent food, very friendly server (his brother and sister were the cooks in the kitchen, his family owns the place), large portions, great value for what you get, lively, cozy atmosphere! I would highly recommend this place. I would also go back in a heartbeat. My parents and I are huge Chinese food fans and loved every bite! SMALL PLACE - HIGHLY RECOMMEND RESERVING IN ADVANCE! Looks like nothing from the outside, but is wonderful and worth it once you go in. High quality and very well prepared.

Kasterlee used to be a gastronomic nightmare. Only a few restaurants could convince me but the past years some really good chefs joined the region. Recently another talent opened his restaurant. The format is âfood sharingâ but in a new and fresh style. The veal was amazing and I loved the jar with smoked cheese. Actually, the only thing I didnât fancy was the giant mushrooms. Service is impeccable and efficient. The bill was much lighter than expected. Kan10 is a place Iâll visit more often next year!

I had the lunch menu, which was very filling 3 courses), excellent food and also really nice service (the waitress, Shana, took her time to explain and recommend and checked frequently how everything was). The restaurant is also centrally located (next to St. Carolus Bartolomeuskerk, 5 minutes from the Grote Markt). I highly recommend it!

We can not get a reservation. The owner is not taking phone calls and his response time on emails is several days or even no replay. We know that the waiting time is long on this restaurant and we are willing to wait. Bud we are sick of the slow replays of the owner. The décor is well thought out and the menu is inspired. As you transition from course to course you'll be pleasantly surprised at each turn. Each dish has traditional undertones but are lifted by modern techniques and locally sourced ingredients. If I had to choose, the highlights for me were the Singaporean black pepper lobster (traditionally crab) and Hong Kong scallops on the half shell, though the meal as a whole was faultless.The sommelier/hostess will really seal the deal if you're looking for an outstanding dining experience, her choice of wine pairings were perfect and her non intrusive attentiveness is unrivalled.It's worth travelling for, I guarantee it.
