Things to do in Kampong Cham
Discovered this little restaurant near the Kazuna Bridge, on the Kampong Cham City side, check out my photos and youâll see the first two give you a visual of where it is located from the bridge.First thing that hit me here was the variety and quantity of menu choices. Also the place was pretty much full of casual diners, both Cambodian and foreign. Kampong Cham City is not a hot spot for foreign visitors as is Siem Reap with Angkor Wat, the capital Phnom Penh or the beaches of Sihanoukville or Kep so I kind of expected to find small family owned restaurants and the prices to be lower as well and this rung true here at Lucky 24 Restaurant (Leap is Cambodian for Lucky).I have attached pics of the complete menu and youâll note that there are two prices for each dish, 6000 and 12000 riel or $1.50 USD and $3.00 USD, basically just different portion sizes. I was dining with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, both Cambodian born living abroad so I had excellent food critics with me and also wonderful was that we would try several dishes. We ordered beef lok lak (fried beef in small pieces served with raw onion, tomato and a lime & black pepper based dipping sauce), deep fried fish, beef sour soup (somlah machu kreung sa ko) and steamed rice. Everything was delicious. The lok lak beef was tender and the lime & black pepper dipping sauce was fantastic. The soup was the right balance of tangy tamarind sour and slightly sweet spice paste (lemongrass, fresh turmeric, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, garlic, and shallots). We liked it so much that we ended up returning a second time with our nephew, a local Khmer, who also said that the food was excellent. On our second visit we ordered the fried fish with ginger, fried Chinese vegetable with beef, sour soup with tomato and fish and fried rice with vegetable. Again all was delicious washed down with a beer this time.Pros: delicious food, good menu variety, very reasonable prices, friendly serviceCons: canât think of any

HAO AN Restaurant is located in the centre of Kampong Cham City. HAO AN is refer to a Chinese name with the meaning of Grand, Heroic, Safe and Peace. It's a well-known restaurant here for we open business for more than 20 years! Here we offer variety serv
Went there for both lunch and dinner with one Chinese and one Cambodian friend which probably was an advantage in order to find the best dishes on their very extencive menu. But everything I ate was really, really good and ridiculously cheap! Some of the best meals I had in Kampong Cham! :)

Having dinner or dinner and drinks is a delightful way to spend an evening if you happen to visit Kampong Cham. The staff is very attentive and they have an eclectic menu ranging from pizza and hamburgers to typical Khmer dishes. Great breakfasts at a great value. The last time I was there I had the bacon and eggs which came with a baguette. That was $2.50. In addition I ordrered crumpets with butter, jam,and honey along with coffee. That was another $2.50. My friends ordered a typical Khmer breakfast of pork fried rice and vegetables topped with a fried egg which was just $2.00. Nice spot to just chill out in the evening, sitting outside the dimly lit restaurant and pub, having a cocktail or beer and watching the people stroll by. The restaurant is right on a corner and has a great view of the river and one can see the Japanese Bridge in teh distance. I've been there at least a dozen or more times and have never been disappointed.
We stopped by the highest point in Kampong Cham for drinks and dinner. We ordered lok lak and a burger, and both were good. From 6-8 cocktails are buy-1-get-1 and we found them to be good as well.Service was also friendly and attentive.Obviously, the real draw is the view, and it was fantastic.

With it's great view of the Mekong River, free wireless, relaxed atmosphere and delicious Khmer and Western food, the restaurant has quickly become a popular hang-out spot for locals, expats and tourists alike.
All the food I've tried here (and they have a very broad selection) has been pretty nice. Their Western breakfast is one of the best I've found in Cambodia - although I usually go for the healthier muesli-with-yoghurt option. Good coffee and milkshakes too. It's the middle one of three foreigner-targeted guesthouse/restaurants close to each other along the main riverside strip just north of the bridge in the middle of Kampong Cham, giving you the opportunity to sit out front on the sidewalk and enjoy the view. There's particularly good people watching in the early evening when the promenade opposite is filled with locals engaging in dancercise classes and so on.

Taste delicious Khmer dishes and enjoy a cold drink at our restaurant. Its beautiful location is part of the experience : During the rainy season the restaurant gives directly on the Mekong and during the dry season it borders the little path that goes ac
Enjoy fresh fruit shakes and tasty food in a restaurant completely made out of bamboo! And if that is not enough: the restaurant is located very close to the Mekong river with a beautiful view for sunset. I mean, what do you want more ;-) The restaurant is set up by a NGO, this means that by ordering a juicy mango shake you are actually providing the kids around the village to go to school. How great? Ask any Tuk-Tuk driver for the 'bamboo cafe or OBT' and he takes you there.
Madinina Pizza offers pizzas, calzones of nems and spring rolls, as well as karaoke, bingo and movie nights. Always in joy and good mood
I had low expectations and they weren't met. Why would a small father-and-son run business use dough bought in the freezer isle? Are they to busy? Too lazy? Hard to understand. Disappointed, whole nine yards. No tomato sauce, no tomatoes, and yes, to top it off: the frozen dough. Any freezer section Walmart pizza tastes better.

Occupying a prime corner on the riverfront, this old favourite serves an enticing mix of Khmer curries and Western favourites, such as big burgers and tasty sandwiches
The main reason I would recommend this place is for its bike and motorbike rentals. The whole thing is easy and no fuss. For $5 a day you can get an automatic bike with a helmet and lock. The location is also pleasant, with river views and breezes. The food, however, is really just your average ersatz traveler fare. Some of the dishes were better than others but nothing was more than average. At times it all could have been lifted with a bit more spice or sauce.

Here you can eat delicious pizzas. Here you can rent motorcycles and bikes for affordable prices. Here you can also book bus tickets to continue your journey. Most important here you can talk with the owner who is such a lovely person :). We highly recommend this place

An NGO Restaurant run by Buddhism for Social Development Action (BSDA). Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in our training Restaurant, where former vulnerable children are taught cooking, English and service skills. We serve local as well as international cu
I ate here a lot during my time in Kampong Cham. I was never disappointed. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food is very good and the portions are pretty generous. I'd recommend the full breakfast - plenty to set you up for the whole day! The Khmer food is also really nice, I had the beef lok lak which was filling and tasty. Locally made handicrafts are also sold here. I think this place is run by an NGO.
