Our first visit: the place was packed, the food was amazing. Tthe service was a bit slow but friendly. Like I said, they were packed! Simple adornments, not too cluttered. Nice grotto to their religious figures. The food: everything from our FRESH spring rolls to the Panang, barbecue chicken was delicious. The spices and seasonings were wonderful. We left wondering...can this really be this good? We waited two weeks and returned. It was packed again! We ordered new dishes and everything was perfect. They even threw in a wonderful dessert. My taste buds are watering just st thinking about these 2 meals!!

My daughter and I arrived for a late lunch. She had a combination with Phad Thai, her favorite and I had a wonderful combo with Beef and Chow Mein. We were going to order dessert but they were celebrating and offered us a piece of their cake instead. Wonderful people and food!

Flew in/out of Medford for a Pacific Coast hiking trip, and stumbled on Soo Rah on a rainy Friday afternoon before an early Saturday flight out. It turned out to be the very best meal of our trip! I had a Spicy Chicken Bulgogi Bento Box and hubby had Beef Bibimbab. Both were superb--absolutely delicious. Bento Box was a treasure hunt of one great taste after another, and Bibimbab in a hot stone bowl was beautiful and tasty. The interior space of Soo Rah is beautiful, and the staff was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better meal or experience.

Great authentic Thai food made fresh in a nice little restaurant off Pine St. The food here never disappoints no matter what is ordered. The family that has run the place for several years serves consistently great meals and are always polite and friendly. The prices are reasonable, $30 for two entrees and an appetizer. Always so good!

I'm being generous by giving Thai House 3 stars, because they have just recently re-opened with new owners and the chef is still learning to cook Thai food. It's obvious the chef needs to especially work on balancing his flavors and spices. Our food (pad thai and a vegetable chicken dish) were quite bland. We asked for chili sauce and I even added soy to get more flavor. The chef told us he had toned-down the spices as many patrons complained of too much heat. Portions for the price were good. The restaurant in general needs "sprucing up" and lacked any atmosphere. I'll wait awhile to return, giving the new chef and owners a chance to improve. Hope they can, as Jacksonville can use another good restaurant.

We came in for a family birthday dinner and were seated promptly by a very polite server. We ordered three sushi rolls, a poke salad, yakisoba and a tempura plate. The last three items were served in a normal amount of time while the sushi rolls took another 20 minutes to get to the table. People who came in after us were served sushi before ours arrived. Our server asked the chefs about our order and they seemed to just blow her off... they were too busy talking to friends at the counter. After a few inquiries we finally got the rolls. No apologies, no explanations, just here you go. In addition to the poor sushi chef service, this restaurant is very loud inside. During dinner service we were not able to hear each other talk from one end of the table to another... there were only 5 of us so it was not a big table, just very loud. We it came time to pay the bill, again there were no comments about the poor sushi chef service and no offer to make it right on the bill. This was our first and last time to Umi Sushi.
