We had diner here with the family. We were seven; the table was laid for eight (not nice for the one brother in law who is single). Dinner was booked in advance. We got appetizers for six, staff brought extra when asked. Then we got five warmed plates (?).Service was very very slow and we had to wait a long time between the appetizer and the main course. Empty glasses sand plates were not cleared. We ordered some bottles of wine; it was poured once, after that we had to do it ourselves.The food when it came was OK, but many things were quite spicy, not to everyone's taste.All in all I found the lack of attention to our table (pre-booked family group) not up to scratch.

Ja, het is weer gelukt. Wederom zalige maaltijd gehad.Helaas wonen we niet in de buurt en bezoeken we dit restaurant enkel als we op bezoek zijn bij familie in Huizen.Omdat de bami zo heerlijk is heb ik dit keer extra porties bami bijbesteld. Die zijn thuis de vriezer in gegaan. Voor een dag dat ik even wat makkelijks wil koken en kan nagenieten van de mooi gebalanceerde smaak.Mijn favoriet: Bami, varkens saté, babi pangang.

Went with a small group to a wedding reception. This new harbour part of Huizen has gone through a spectacular upgrade, including a cluster of restaurants and a reasonably priced hotel. Good food, especially the fish dishes. You can hire the Kalkovens for the special events. I think the website could be a lot clearer about what's on offer. There are some nice photos, but the main story doesn't do the place justice.

A friend recommended this restaurant and we were happy that we could make a reservation at the last minute. Fantastic friendly service and explanation about the menu! We enjoyed the food except for one dish, the scallop in broth a big disappointment. We will be back to try some of the other dishes!

The food is good/very good. Drinks selection could be better. Not cheap but afriendly service and overall a acceptable price/quality ratio.However, we were seated in the section near the kitchen and there the smells are overwhelming on the verge of suffocating, you'r probably a lot better off in the other section.On the plus: food is served at your table, no long ques at the kitchen +/+ !

Very good Chinese food. Multiple selections within various China food regions, e.g., Cantonese, Guangzhou and Sichuan. May not be quite what youâre use to in the US. Very little if any soy sauce used. Still quite tasty with a few vegetables and ham mixed in. Large pieces of small beef steak stir fried with vegetables with your choice of sauces (garlic , black bean). We chose the garlic sauce and it was very good. Egg Foo Young omelette was also enjoyable. English spoken with friendly and accommodating service.

Take away in Almere Buiten is very good. The babi pang gang is lovely and crisp.Restaurant in Almere Haven: food is good. Seating is too cramped and lighting is awful - no attempt to create some atmosphere and way too bright. Service seemed rushed and impersonal. Too expensive on a weekend for what you get to my opinion. â¬33,- for All you can eat, which means 2 dishes per round and though portions are a bit bigger, it's far less than the average of 5 per round at about 28 euros on weekend, that you get here at other places. I was invited, I'd not go there if I was choosing the restaurant.

Based on the good reviews we decided to go here with a group of colleagues after enjoying some go kart racing at Coronel in Huizen.It's a small place a little bit hidden away behind the bigger restaurants on the Huizen beachfront. Staff is friendly, but not very professional and inattentive. We ordered some sushi to share with the whole group of us. It really was the slowest sushi service I have ever encountered. And I have eaten at quite a lot of sushi places before. The restaurant only had 3 tables filled, so that couldn't explain for the slow service. Also when they were serving a plate with sushi, it was already finished within a few minutes because we were all so hungry, so that should have been an indication to them to speed up the delivery.Furthermore there was not a pro-active attitude from the staff towards asking if we would like to have another drink or something else. The table was often filled with empty bottles and glasses. Staff would just stand waiting at the cash register, one meter away from us, doing nothing. They could clearly have seen that they could earn extra money by taking a few steps and asking if we wanted another drink. Several times I had to insist the staff on asking people if they wanted another drink before they did so. Bizarre.In the beginning we were served three plates (group of 7) with something on it. No idea what it was, they didn't explain. After some time, one out of three plates got taken away. Why only one? Why not the other two? No idea. Really messy.The sushi itself was fair, nothing more. Certainly no highlight. Prices are pretty on the high side. I rather go for an all you can eat concept (which this place doesn't offer) where I get fast service, pay (much) less and actually leave the place without still being hungry. We stopped ordering because it simply took too long to get served.Really would not recommend this place. Don't know Huizen, but there must be better places around.
