Like everything else in New Jersey, restaurants are located in strip malls. I had my doubts about how good this restaurant could be. I took my wife and my dad here on 4 July 2019. The staff was somewhat limited because of the holiday. Yet our meal was superb. My dad said his lemon chicken was the best he'd eaten in 30 years. My wife who can be selective in what she eats was thrilled with her choice. The bill was incredibly reasonable and of course the portions were large. This is a great restaurant for Chinese/Japanese food. Highly recommend
Eating in the restaurant is not so bad, their food is average. But where they fall way short is on there take out orders, you better check your receipt before you pay. You will probably be charged anywhere from 50 cents to 75 cents for condiments. My wife and I bought two dinners to go and we asked for a bag of noodles, some house mustard and duck sauce. When we got home we checked our bill and we realize that we were charged $2.25 for the condiments. Now that's a very petty practice if you ask me. I have eaten many many many man Chinese restaurants in this area, and I don't recall ever being charge for condiments on a takeout order. I can only say if they're that cheap with their condiments, I can only imagine what goes on in their kitchen.

We have now eaten in the restaurant as a couple and have brought multiple friends there and everyone has enjoyed the exceptionally excellent cooking. The food is wonderful and very well priced. Food ranges from sushi to Thai food to typical, but better than most Chinese food. Their Tom Yom soup is spiced just right and available either with shrimp or chicken. The Thai dishes we have had include fish fillet with Thai sauce and Pad Thai. We have had multiple Chinese dishes. All the food has been excellent. The service has at times been a little slow but is courteous and friendly. This restaurant is BYOB.

One of our family favorites. Place your order and it's usually ready in under 15 minutes. We like the dinner combination deals...best bang for the buck!

I've been here numerous times and my 28 and 25 year olds love it! They live on their own and go there or take home once a week. Its always very good. Nice atmosphere and plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall. Very good wait service too.

Nagoya is a welcome new addition to the area. My wife and I arrived about a quarter to six on a Saturday evening and the place was nearly full. It appears to be catching on. Nice to see a new business succeeding. For our appetizer we tried something called the Joy Smile, six pieces of eggplant stuffed with diced salmon and scallions and grilled. The presentation was striking (see picture) and the flavor wonderful. For our meals my wife ordered a pair of rolls (spicy tuna and yellowtail, see picture) and I had the Sushi Regular. Her rolls came out to about $10-11 and my dish cost $18 and also came with the standard salad and miso soup (both of which were fine). My sushi was good, better than nearby Wok n' Roll in Jackson but not quite as good as Ikko in Brick. That's still pretty good, since Ikko sets a high bar. When I don't feel like the ride down to Brick, however, I would definitely return to Nagoya. It is good to have good sushi five minutes from my house.

Although this restaurant is good, it's not fantastic. The prep was good, the fish was reasonably fresh, tough to obtain fantastic fish in Freehold I'm sure. The prices were in line not overly high. The ambiance could have been better, by that I mean, the hostess who I believe is one of the owners, the other being the husband and chef, were just not really that friendly, not rude mind you but just not welcoming and warm. We probably will not return, we are on a quest to find a good sushi restaurant without going all the way into the city. You should try it though, it might be to your liking, as I say and in the interest of fairness, the restaurant is decent.

My family and I went to Vietnam Bistro for an early Father's Day and were exceptionally pleased by the food and service. My mom is not really good with spicy food and they were able to make her a dish of Shrimp & Eggplant that she said was delicious. Even my picky 6 y/o was able to get a noodle dish she loved. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We will be going again back to this local eattery!
