It is located on the Markermeer, 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of Amsterdam, and acquired city rights in 1357. Hoorn had a population of 72,707 in 2017. The area of the municipality is 53.25 km (20.56 sq mi) of which 33.00 km (12.74 sq mi) consists of water, mainly the Markermeer. I really love the sushi from Maneki. The fish is very good. The variety is great. They recently had a fire in the kitchen and they are reruilding their restaurant. So, for now, only take-out.

We went today with a group of relatives from Brazil and enjoyed the food immensely. I have been coming to this restaurant for the past many years, and the quality is quite constant. Service is pleasant, there is a variety of wines, some very expensive, but others reasonable. This is not a typical Dutch-Chinese restaurant (usually with Indonesian influences) but a real fine quality Chinese with wonderful dishes. The Peking duck preparations are excellent, but there are many other dishes as well. And all-in-all not expensive.

Three of us had an excellent dinner from in this centrally located restaurant. Lamb vindaloo, Chick pea curry, Dahl curry with rice and garlic nan were exceptional. Unfortunately, It looks like this restaurant is not actively promoting the business, no effort to attract any customers. Its a hidden place to be found by the fanatic people looking for Indian food. Inside is quiet dark and no inviting or welcome atmosphere. Three of us were the only customers and the young Dutch girl who was serving was not keen to provide any services. She was busy with her own entertainment in the back of the restaurant. We had to shout to get her attention every time we needed something. Again the food was delicious and prices were reasonable. highly recommended.

Went here with my girlfriend and had a fantastic time finishing our 4 course surprise menu, accompanied with 4 very good wines. It was a little bit more special than other 'Western' cuisine. Wines were a very good match with the courses. Reason for the 4x is that the intern (?) was a little bit unexperienced and made some small mistakes. But overall, absolutely recommended!
