Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Hiroshima. A trip to Hiroshima is best kicked off with a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, which contains a museum, the remnants of buildings destroyed by the 1945 atomic bomb and monuments to the people killed by this nuclear attack. Visit splendidly rebuilt historic sites like Hiroshima Castle and Shukkei-en Garden, and don’t miss the Itsukushima Shrine on the nearby island of Miyajima.

Okonomiyaki is famous in Hiroshima. This venue prepares on a large grill in front of the guestsâ¦..or tables are available. An assortment of toppings for this delicious masterpiece are availableâ¦although the primary flavors are delivered through the batter and noodles and tangy sauce.Priced modestly but served generously, this is a hearty meal.

Went there due to the proximity to the hotel and excellent tripadvisor review. Unfortunately, it was poor experience. The food was very expensive and below standard. The standard dish such as gyoza was oily and burnt a bit; fried chickenâs batter was heavy and thick. Towards the end, we realised the English menu was a lot smaller than the Japanese menu. Some very popular local skewers and hot pot were omitted from the English menu. Staff didnât speak a word of English and was not the usual friendly and attentive service we get from Japan. Plates were not cleared away despite small space, we had to stack them up and put it aside ourself and it was not even busy. In addition, there is a 450yen seating charge per person on top of the menu charge irrespective what you eat or drink. Itâs like an entry fee. On a positive note, the restaurant itself was a nice place and on entry you take off your shoes and seat along the grill bar, which has a more Japanese feel. Overall, it was a poor experience for us. We would not recommend this place.

Unpretentious and delicious food, friendly staff, good sake and fair prices for the quality on offer. Sea Urchin over sizzling spinach, and pan fried oysters were the highlights. This is a simple, casual walk-in place, donât go dressing up, just turn up hungry and enjoy!

We had many issues over past week hunting down restaurants after finding them on TA. All have anglo-saxon names but none follow that through with similar signage outside the premises. Thus place was different. It's on a corner, first floor. Purple signs. Inside there is a vench for 10 perskns plys two private rooms. Menu for lunch is limited offering 7, 9 or more piece set meals. This includes rice, miso soup, pickles and x/y/z pieces of the best tempura batter you will ever experience. So light. So delicate. 7 piece lunch was 900 Yen. Bargain.

We had heard a lot about okonomiyaki before we were finally going to try it in Hiroshima. We were watching the making of our 4 omelette-pancakes with fascination! As I told my daughter, even if I lived 10.000 years, I would never had thought of a dish like this. Mountains of pancake and cabbage and noodles and egg and spring onion and lots of other things fried down to a flat pancake-like thing Our children loved it! My husband and I were a bit more reserved, but admit that it was good!

Great place to have lunch after visiting the memorial park. The food is cheap and very tasty. For lunch they only have variations of their mazemen (noodles with pork) but in the evening they have a bit more.Note: the regular portion is about enough for a person, if really hungry, order the bigger one.
