Authentic thai cusine cooked by thai chef's in a relaxed enviroment
Starters, mains and a drink for under £20 was great value. Good service at a very popular place. Just a shame that the vegetable pad Thai which we were told had tofu in didnât. Will be back.

We dined on a Saturday night as a party of 4 in what was a half full restaurant. We were greeted well and attended to by the waiters well. The drinks order was taken quickly and delivered quickly. We had Poppadoms and dips as starters and then 4 different curries ( Dansak,Massala, Madras and a Chef's special ) with 2 sides and 3 rice and 2 Naan breads along with 2 bottles of house white and 2 bottles of Bangla lager, also 3 bottles of cobra alcohol free for the designated driver. Everything was up to standard and in one or two areas above standard. All in all a pleasant evening with nice food and ambiance. Total price was about £110. We would have no problem coming back .Thanks Gulshan

Yak The Himalayan Kitchen is an authentic Nepalese Resturant , will be cooked by the experienced chefs, who have many years of experiences and award wining achievement. The environment is designed and decorated by selected products and feel of peace, happy
This was a mixed experience . . . . some of the food was excellent and some was just OK. We had king prawns and Himalayan pork ribs to start. King prawns should be succulent and juicy if they're cooked properly. Unfortunately these weren't, they were slightly overcooked and therefore too dry. On the other hand, the ribs were very nice. For mains we had Everest lamb and Himalayan chicken. The lamb was as nice as I could have hoped for. The chicken was very tasty but a bit too dry for our taste. We ate in the first floor dining area, and we felt that the decor was rather cold, bland, not particularly welcoming. It wasn't an environment that made me feel that I would want to eat there again. To make things worse, the continual sound of cars driving over a loose manhole cover became irritating. (I know that's beyond the restaurant's control, and it may have been be fixed by now). We will go back there again because the food was good enough to make us want to try more. I have a feeling that there is a lot more on the menu that I will like a lot.Hi Mike Graham,First of all, thanks for visiting us and trying our food. From your review, we understand your interest and attention to detail to taste and environment of our restaurant and we value such customers as it give us opportunity to work in these areas. We will take note and we will see what we can do best! About the environment, Old Town is such a vibrant location in Swindon which people actually enjoys to be in this lively place, mostly weekends. We are part of old town culture and as you mentioned we alone do not control the environment. Hopefully, everything grows with you if you do revisit! Hopefully, this wonât put you off as we have lot for you to try from our Himalayan menu! Namaste

Although it's address is High Street, it's actually off a side road from the High Street.
This was our first time at this restaurant, though we were with friends who use it regularly., We were blown away with the food , it is so tasty. My wife does not eat rice , but she thought everything she had ( no rice ) was fantastic, I try myself at this style of cooking and it has inspired me to go away and try again , though with no chance of replicating the wonderfully tasty food we ate last week. Everybody is so friendly and we were made to feel really welcome. Thank you all for a superb evening.

Great tasting authentic Thai food, probably the best Ivectasted outside Thailand. The lunchtime set menu for £7.50 represents fabulous value. I have the vegetarian option so if you want tofu and vegetables you need to say so and it's an extra £1. That's not a problem but it would help if it said so somewhere rather than finding out by trial and error. Flavours and portion sizes do seem to fluctuate from time to time bug I've not had a poor meal there in 6-8 visits over the past 2 years.

Last minute decision to go out for dinner last night, and agreed on curry. We have been to this restaurant before and would typically be our first choice for curry.Service fast and friendly as always, food great and atmosphere good.Only complaint would be the âtipsy partyâ (it was only 8.30) who arrived as we were finishing our dinner....vaping in a restaurant, really?? Just no need!!

Very nice Indian restaurant in Lechlade. Food was very good, delicious flavours. Service was OK. Tikka Massala had quite a lot of sauce as compared to chicken pieces but everything was tasty. Recommend it. On that evening, the restaurant was being restocked and it was quite fun to see the driver making round trips from his van to the kitchen carrying huge bags of oignons and other stuff.

Not sure what's happened. Didnt recognise any of the staff so maybe its changed hands again. Strange service !! No knowledge of menu. Food was very poor. Chicken tough as old boots. I had the garlic chilli chicken. Couldn't taste either main ingredients. Mentioned it to waiter and he shrugged it off. We have had a couple of takeaways which were disappointing recently. So I'm afraid you have lost my custom. Such a shame.

Recently had a great takeaway from Rafus. I, like many local customers, initially had concerns, following the very sad and sudden passing of the great man. However, Rafu would have been proud that his son Omar, has not just maintained the extremely high standards, but has started to put his own stamp on the extensive menu. Rafu and the Miah family, have been and continue to be, very much part of the fabric of the town of Highworth. I have to agree that the legend lives on.
