Since 2001, Okra has blossomed from a local Camberwell gem to one of the greater Melbourne areaâs premier dining destinations. Okra blends Thai, Malaysian, and Indonesian dishes into an irresistible Southeast Asian fusion menu with something for everyone.
My wife and I had dinner here recently with a group of friends. We ordered beef rendang, a whole fish (snapper), fried okra, chilli king prawns and a curry chicken dish. The food was mostly good. Service was okay. Prices are a bit steep. We had BYO red wine.

This is truly my favourite restaurant and have been coming here for 30 years plus. Originally located further down Burwood Road itâs been settled here on the corner of Henry Street for a long time now. My favourite is the mee goreng or curry laksa with roti and sauce. The specials are always good. Busy during lunch hour with Swinburne Uni not far away. Check the website for opening hours. Good takeaway as well. The best part is that Iâve known the staff for so long and they always greet me like an old friend. Theyâve watched me from pregnancy to my eldest being 21!Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. High chairs available. Parking isnât too bad. Note it is cash only. Looking forward to many more lunches and dinners here which I now share with friends.

Just loved this place â great food which seems to encompass many different Asian flavours and friendly service. Would definitely go back.Hi Alan! So happy to hear you enjoyed your St. Cloud experience. Look forward to seeing you back here soon,Kerri.
A daring duo, perfectly paired. Perpetually Rotating Craft Beers and Eastern Feast shared among the table. Located in Richmond at the heart of our iconic Bridge Rd, a street steeped in history dating back to the 1837. Kekou (to taste good) is the regions
We loved our recent visit to Kekou! We each went for the $32 lunch special which was really filling and worth every cent. the Lobster Betel Leaf was a delicious little bite and the chicken yellow curry was amazing too. You could tell the egg noodles were homemade...yum!Thank you for such a positive review @travelmarnieThe $32 lunch special is definitely worth the while.. A starter...A main... and 1 pot (it makes things tricky when we have 18 craft beer taps to choose from) Everything prepared from our kitchen is made from scratch (even down to the curry pastes) so you know the food will always be top quality! We welcome you back for dinner as our menu has more options and variety. Thanks again @travelmarnie. We hope to see you soon.

UPDATEÂ A new operator ... great presentation ... why not seasoned those Prawn Tempura?Wafu Steak made of sliced meat, first time for everything, not medium rare as ordered, instead well done on the hotplate. JT-18/05/2019PREVIOUSThis version of Japanese cuisine is okay .....Okay it's not the most authentic Japanese food around, however it's doable and quite enjoyable.

Had not been here for two years. Signs of decline by the twelve clients at lunch and the sullen waitress. We ordered from the daily specials ,the spinach salad was overdressed and messy, the eel sushi was flaccid tasteless encased in gluggy rice, the crumbed whiting was over cooked and the prawn tempura was greasy. Why would you bother!

I have been going to Samurai for years for their unbelievable three-course set meal menu. Since the new renovations, and an upgrade to the touchscreen system (which is fun in its own right), unfortunately this meal deal is no longer available, much to my disappointment. The venue is fresh and lively, and welcoming. The food is of its usual excellent quality, and the prices are still reasonable (but not what I had been experiencing for so long in the past). The sushi is still delicious, but sadly I will no longer travel here just for that purpose. I still recommend this place, if you live nearby.

The food is without doubt excellent and really well presented and we had a really enjoyable evening. However I found the service to be efficient rather than friendly â its almost complacent to the extent that I felt we were doing them a favour by being there. Equally I donât think its professional to see the management/staff sitting around a table with a drink at the end of the evening
