It straddles the London to Edinburgh East Coast Main Line railway and the River Witham and is bounded to the west by the A1 main north–south trunk road. Grantham lies about 23 miles (37 km) south of the county town of Lincoln, and about 22 miles (35 km) east of Nottingham. My husband and I came with our 4 children for dinner this evening. The staff were so friendly to the children and made us feel very welcome! The lovely waitress was happy to teach the children to use chopsticks and translate some chinese for them. They really enjoyed it. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely come again!

Friends took us for a reunion. The food was great, the atmosphere cosy, fun and friendly. So many unusual dishes, embracing vegetarian, vegan and the meat eaters, great fish menu too. We were lucky to be served a traditional dessert which was very tasty. Highly recommend a visit if you like all things Indianthank you very much

First ever Indian takeaway, ordered ahead of time online, was ready a couple of minutes after I walked through the door. Food traveled well, was hot and one of the best Lamb Pasanda's I've had recently. You can also eat in, basic surroundings but friendly staff. We will be back.

A small party visited early on a Saturday eve by an earlier booking. Our table was ready, and service was swift and pleasant. We happened to sit near a fire exit on the ground floor and there was a constant draught, which if we had noticed earlier we would have moved tables.Jimmy has semi retired, and is not due back until about May. His lack of presence is noticeable. The pleasant ladies running the business do not have his warmth or 'fun', and this does make a difference. Perhaps it was the time of day, or the fact that it was a Saturday, but the 'takeaway' business is strong, and this means staff are constantly rushing past your table with boxes and carrier bags, which does not assist in maintaining a relaxed evening.Overall the staff attention was OK., the staff sang Happy Birthday to us all, and a small cake with candles was presented. A very nice touch.The four stars has to remain as, although the food is truly excellent, something is sadly missing.

Years ago when work took me to Grantham, Siam Garden was a regular lunch stop, but we had not been for 14 years. Having read reviews about how the standard had slipped under new ownership a few years ago, I was a little anxious about a revisit. However, everything was as brilliant as is used to be at lunchtime today. Apparently, the current owners took over just under a year ago, and I could not fault either the food or the service.The lunchtime menu offered a wide range of choices. We just had a the main course, which was plenty, and cost £7.50. There is the option of starter, main course plus tea or coffee at £10.50 - but that would have been too much food for us in the middle of the day - however, the choice is there.We will certainly return the next time we visit Grantham.

I have spent time in Nepal so this had a bar to be met and it was a bar that was surpassed. Service was excellent: we were attended to in a friendly and timely way. The food was exceptional. The last time I had Momos was in sight of Mount Everest and despite being in the heart of Grantham, the experience was comparable. The curries, whilst you could question their appearance on an authentic Nepalese menu, were superb!! Very highly recommended!!!

Just finished a great meal, had the dumplings for starter and was not disappointed. For main I tried the lamb stew very rich but very tasty. All food was popping hot and full of flavours. Great portions. The mango chutney is best Iâve had. Great service 30 people in at present in a Wednesday tells itâs own story.
