Korean food is generally difficult to appreciate for Western mouthes. It is nonetheless a great and usually very healthy food...much much healthier than world renown Chinese cuisines.Namoo serves fast food type of meals. Convenient, but not the best.Come back for the hot stone bibimbaps which is served generously....more generously than before actually with more veggies, etc...Kimchi is good too. There is also a choice of South- East Asian drinks which I long.Go there just because it is such a good change to the usual pizza, Italian and bistrot options in the neighborhood.

I love this restaurant. Mainly because of quality/price. During the week they have a great buffet which lets you try many different dishes that you would not try if you had to order them maybe. It is very cheap. The decor is typical continental7 oriental... but don't let that put you off.. it is good food, and affordable prices. I often come for take outs and the portions are big so I have two meals out of that.

As wrote a few other guests already, the lady in charge will not win a price in the contest of the ideal host or friendly waitress. She expects the guest to follow her orders and not to take orders from guest. The food is ok, prices are slightly on the high side. All in all, ok but not much "to write home about".

I think very long and hard before I write a poor review, but I really have to share my experience of this restaurant. I really didn't think I could go far wrong with sesame prawn toasts, duck served with pancakes, sweet and sour chicken and beef fried noodles - then mango sorbet for dessert. But I could.Firstly, the sesame prawn toasts - chf 12 for 4 pieces - i.e. one (small) slice of white bread cut in four - burned and bitter.Second - I asked if they served duck with pancakes - waitress said of course and pointed to roast duck on the menu chf 30. I ordered. When it came, it was a single duck breast, I guess roasted and sliced - dry with no added flavour or seasoning. The pancakes were thick and doughy and not as would normally be served with duck. The cucumber sticks were floppy and wet and there were a tiny amount of them.Third - sweet and sour chicken - just bland - small cubes of plain chicken and a few chopped veg in a very thin, under seasoned, bland sauce that I really couldn't describe as sweet and sour.Fourth - beef fried noodle - very dry, but were tasty.Fifth - mango sorbet - the smallest ball I have ever seen (chf 6) and it had clearly been thawed and re-frozen - some of the ball was translucent ice crystals with no flavour and some had an orange colour but again big ice crystals - just not pleasant. When the bill arrived - the duck was listed at chf 30 and the pancakes as an additional item for chf 15 ! - I drew the waitresses attention to this and she ran and got the menu and pointed at the roast duck for chf 30 - yeeessss - but where does it say "pancakes an additional chf 15?" - it did not, but she just laughed and walked away.I paid, I left, and I shall not return.

I'm hesitant when it comes to a combination of different Asian cuisines. Neither of them is usually authentic. Haven't tried the Korean part of the menu but the Japanese offering is very good. Nicely presented. On the higher end of the price scale. Attentive service. Sleek ambiance but not very cosy.

Lunch with friends who knew Sharin, the owner. On this day there were four fixed lunches and we took one of each to share. Beef, chicken X 2, lentils, gombos, naan bread etc, all perfectly prepared, bursting with flavour but not hot. This is not a curry house! No elephants or snake charmers here, just a warm welcome and an incredibly good meal. If you want to drink alcohol you must take your own with no problem.

We had Sunday lunch. The restaurant , as it has been on our previous visit, quiet. It seems a shame for somewhere that offers genuine food of quality and isn’t very expensive. True it isn’t cheap either, but you do get what you pay for. The welcome is warm, kind and genuine. The food is inventive, not in a pointlessly trendy way, but in an assured confident way. The meal was beautifully presented, and there is no hard sell of extras here, you simply order as you need and it is served. Please try this, it deserves more clients than it seems to get.
