Another holiday visit to the best Indian restaurant in town. This is a popular restaurant with locals, ex-pats and visitors and rightly so. We found this gem a few years ago and go back now every holiday. Delicious food, subtly spiced, and friendly, welcoming staff. Wouldn't be a proper visit to Funchal without going here. You would do well to book. Plus, if you book from Funchal hotel they will provide free transport to/from the restaurant.

My wife and I were really getting tired of Black Scabbard fish with banana at all the typical Madeira restaurants and elected to eat Indian instead. Top notch Indian food. Chana Masala and Saag Paneer were absolutely delicious. Vegetarian friendly. Perfect spices. A great change. Highly recommend.

On a fairly unassuming street corner, this small restaurant is doing something different. Elegant and unusual food, prepared before your eyes (the kitchen is 'in' the dining area). Prices are higher than the average in surrounding restaurants, but there's a very good reason for that. This is definitely not average food. Great service too.

We visited the restaurant based on great reviews and we were not disappointed. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, shrimp pad Thai and mushroom rice. All were fresh and excellent tasting.
