Quite a nice surprise, with some yakidofu to start, with a great semi sweet sauce. The super sunomono salad is the best salad I have ever had in a sushi place. The spicy tuna handrolls were good, as was the sashimi platter of tuna and yellowtail. Rice was a little too soft. But overall, quite good, with good service.

Read reviews on Yoshinoâs with Itâs high ratings for Japanese dining this would be our spot. Restaurant did not disappoint. Lounge dining, teppanyaki, shabu-shabu and a dining menu. We wanted to talk and visit so elected the table menu seating option. Service was very attentive. No take home food. As we all finished our meals. Enjoyed gyoza and dashi tofu as shared starters. Seafood tempura and seafood combinations were the entree choices. We strongly recommend Yoshino for dining. The owner visited our table to be sure all was well. She was gracious and advised they were celebrating 39 years in business. Clearly this was a sign they are a spot to enjoy and well attended by Fresno residents and visitors.

Came here for a business lunch. A small restaurant with usual Thai dishes. Not an extensive menu, but there were a number of different soups and curry dishes. We shared spring rolls which were fine but not outstanding, and the red curry seafood I had was pretty good. They also have some specially priced lunch menus. This is a decent Thai restaurant, but not at the level of the Royal Thai Orchid. Nevertheless, because this is in the northern part of Fresno, Iâd consider this a convenient lunch spot.

This was my first time to the Japanese Kitchen in Clovis. As a combination sushi bar, restaurant and teppan-yaki they may be trying to do too much. We attended for the teppan-yaki dinner and I will say that the food was fresh, well prepared and tasty although salty for my taste. I was not overly impressed with the cooking show and have seem more entertaining shows at other Japanese restaurants.Service was very good. Prices are reasonable. Menu selection is good and did include a vegetarian (not vegan) option. Drink selection is limited. With eight people seated at the table it was a bit crowded. The overall atmosphere could be improved with more separation between tables.

Our Family has been coming here for years. This was our go to special occasion restaurant.SADLY THOSE DAYS ARE OVER !We have noticed a general decline in customer Service the last few years. Reservations mean nothing, the clientele getting lowbrow, the wait once seated getting longer and longer before chef coming. The chefs rarely do anything anymore as far as putting on a show.BASICALLY ALL STANDARDS HAVE BEEN THROWN OUT THE WINDOW.BUT THE LATEST EXPERIENCE WAS THE LAST STRAW!They " lost" a reservation, claimed it was never made. We had out of town guests and we had made this reservation weeks in advance. Then the story changed to " Oh you probably called the Clovis locale on accident." When we told them we had in our phone the day and time we called them they went back to Sorry no reservation. We spoke with the mngr. & he said come in at 7:30 & we will get you seated. LIES !!!!We rotted in the bar for 30 min. After ckng with them repeatedly they seated Us at a table in back 2/3 full of people. Clearly they had seated these people without their entire party there. People kept coming in 2s to join their party. Bottom line is we sat there for another hour and only got the soup and salad. People kept dribbling in to this "connected" table as we fumed ( angry and nauseous from the heat and smell of the Hot grill with no chef.) Finally got the manager and they tried to say they "found" the reservation but it was for the next week! Our evening was ruined and needless to say we chewed out the inept Manager and left after 1 1 /2 hours of wasted time.THIS BUSINESS IS SHAMEFUL....Lies,misrepresentations, everything you do not want when dining out. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS CIRCUS OF A RESTAURANT. The only positive of the evening was a very nice server that brought our drinks and salad. I pity her working there and hope she gets a job at a respectful business.

We love this place! The fish is fresh and itâs great to build your own bowl. I start with brown rice and kelp noodles. Add tuna, salmon, seaweed salad, avocado, edamame, and cucumber. Spicy ponzu and crunchy toppings add a lot of flavor. Itâs delicious!

My family and I have visited this restaurant several times, both inside, and take away dinner. The ambulance is great, and is a nice place to go out for dinner. The food is DELICIOUS! Our favorite dishes are the crispy pork, and the pad Thai. BEST Thai restaurant in town. We have also had several other dishes, and they are all wonderful. A true gem in Clovis! Do yourself a favor and get the crisy pork, your life will be changed!!
