In a British context, this would be a classic low-key, small, suburban Chinese restaurant & takeaway. It's run by a husband & wife team and the menu, decor and meal presentation is nothing out of the ordinary. However, our rating was raised above average by:* the freshness of the wok stir fries - it's all cooked to order and you can see the wife juggling various pans in the kitchen through the hatch* the friendliness of the husband waiter who tries really hard to please Although we enjoyed our dinners at the authentic French restaurants in Fontvieille, staying there for a week, it was nice to enjoy a different cuisine. And we can't be the only ones - this restaurant was busy with locals (couples and small family groups) - who were clearly regulars

The restaurant will be closed from June 30th to August 05th inclusive. Thank you.
Our second visit this year, and I am pleased to report that the quality and preparation of the food remains consistently excellent. Lunchtime portions are small but satisfying. Today I had the seafood on hotplate, with noodles as an accompaniment. My wife enjoyed the chicken Pad Thai. Instead of starters, we chose desserts, a deep fried donut with a beautiful Ice cream centre, whilst I enjoyed the cafe gourmande. Well presented and lovely flavours Service is friendly and efficient and the freshly cooked food arrives promptly. With two beers, a total bill of just over Eu50 shows excellent value.

We wanted chicken Pho soup but like the other Vietnamese restaurants in France they only served beef pho. We decided to have their curried chicken dinner plate instead which came with salad, rice and spring roll. It was all very tasty and just the right amount of food. The place was very busy and our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed. Dinner for 2 with 1 beer and 1 jasmine tea was $26E including tip.

If you dont expect standard food, you are completely right here. The chef is crazy and mixes different things like duck with cacao, warm artichokes with caviar and champagne sauce etc. It's probably not everyone's taste, but I really am searching for this kind of food and I won't start the "price for value" discussion :)

Fabulous setting, just beside the amphitheatre. Lovely service - we even got anti-mosquito spray so that we could sit outside! Lots of vegetarian options on the Japanese menu. Food was good; nice beer; pichet of wine. Not cheap when ordering from the full menu, although there are set meals at lunchtime.
