Lets get history straight. This was the old Cathay Temple. I had my First Communion dinner here in 1953. Opened in 1949, I still have the T-shirt souvenir from its first closing in 2000. Members of the family made several attempts to reopen and finally gave up. It was then opened as the Ying Dynasty. I was brought up in Mattapoisett and visit a few times each year. It will never be the Cathay, but the ribs, wings, egg rolls and the fried rice bring back old memories. Scallop dishes reminiscent of the past, too. I grew up on âNew Bedfordâ Chinese food and will always return!

Sweet Ginger has some good sized portions for their dinner combination plates. The Scorpion Bowl for 2, looked a little small but was pretty tasty with plenty of alcohol. Service was also good. Visited on a Saturday night and there was plenty of seating during dinner time. The restaurant is charming and quaint. I plan on visiting again.

168 sushi &Kitchen located in 8 Sconticut Neck Rd. Fairhaven.
Really liked this place. The sushi was great! The staff was friendly and attentive! It is very reasonably priced. It is BYOB, so we brought our own beer. My boyfriend would give it 5, I am giving it a 4 because I thought the sushi was too big. I know, I know, more bang for your buck!

I have ordered both Chinese and Japanese cuisines, sushi or entrees. The food always comes out hot fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and efficient, never make you feel like they dont have time for you as some area asian restaurants do. I would select A Kitchen anytime.

Wah May Restaurant Provides Chinese Dishes to the Fairhaven, Massachusetts Area.
The food has been consistently good... The service Ok... but not a destination place to go.... There are some odd things to be aware of... like you should ask how the dish is prepared,,, for example I had no idea there would be pickles in the sweet and sour sauce... and I hate pickles!!! Normally it has pineapple and cherries.... This was aweful to me...and when I inquired I was told to order with out the pickles next time... I said the pickles were not on the menu description... and she just said I can order it with our the pickles... Not if I did not know they were going to be in the sauce numb nuts!

Sivalai Thai Cuisine II at 710 State Road N. Dartmouth is located in a strip mall and is unassuming. However, once inside the place has a garden setting interior and a friendly staff, who guide you through Thai cuisine. There are many creative touches here. The presentations are beautifully done and the food is cooked to order using fresh ingredients. The Tung -Thongs of deep fried bagged chicken, corn, and chestnuts were delicious and not greasy. The Moo-Ping Pork with sticky rice were perfectly cooked and were tender and lightly spiced. The Basil Pad Thai was delectable. The Thai hot tea was satisfying and the lavender blue Butterfly Tea was a rare find. The prices are moderate. The service is polite with a smile.
