My son has a number of food allergies, so I really appreciated that the restaurant has labeled menu items that are or can be gluten-free and dairy-free. In addition, our server was knowledgeable about each menu item's ingredients and about cross contamination concerns. The food was excellent. It tasted incredibly fresh and we enjoyed everything we had. The house-made lime soda was incredible!

After four days on Mt Desert Island eating lobster my wife and I finally OD'ed on the lobster and wanted something different. We drove to Ellsworth and ate Pad Thai noodles at Thai Sana. We were happy with the meal and service. Prices were moderate. All good, no problems.

The old Green Tree Restaurant - same owners - built a beautiful upscale restaurant in the center of Ellsworth. Excellent - same recipes says Catherine -half of husband & wife team.

Have had lunch there several times recently and its been very good. Had friends with us last Friday nite and took them to Shinbashi. Big mistake!! In fairness, they looked understaffed. Waitress was friendly and fairly efficient. Appetizers not that great - my fried spring rolls were badly overcooked, wife's Tom Gu soup was tasty but the veges were cut HUGE (they wouldn't even fit on the spoon), friends had spicy tuna sushi (not at all spicy) and some sort of translucent balls made of wonton wraps (tasteless and gummy). Everyone ordered spicy entrees but nobody got one. Very bland. Wife had mongolian beef - beef overcooked, no spice. I had Mo Shu beef onions barely cooked, no spice. All in all pretty poor fare.

We ordered take out for two ...chicken curry, chicken fried rice and chicken wings. There was scant chicken but AMPLE green pepper. At least one whole green pepper and few other vegetables to compliment. Chicken wings are very, very salty and though the fried rice wasnât great, it was the most palatable! I would avoid this restaurant!
