Stopped by for lunch and had the buffet. A fairly large buffet actually, but, as most often happens, everything tasted the same. The soups were quite good however. Service was OK. As we were leaving, I took a take out menu to help me with the review. The stack they had were all dirty, caked with food---not the best sign of cleanliness maybe? Easy parking in a shopping center

Absolutely great. The last thing I expected in Annapolis was totally authentic Thai food. And this hit the mark - a really pleasant surprise when I was expecting another round of bland pseudo-Asian food. It was delicious, and would give any restaurant in Bangkok a run for its money. A nice ambience, friendly staff, and a great range of foods for all types of carnivores, vegetarians and (I think) vegans. Strongly recommended.

Stopped by to order carry-out. Inside is spotless, open kitchen looks the same. Wanted to try something different so I ordered the "Cabbage Delight". Its beef, chicken, and shrimp in a garlicky sauce with cooked, still crisp cabbage. One order is plenty for two. It was delicious. The chicken and beef were very tender, perfectly cooked and the shrimp were large and not overcooked. Excellent wonton & egg drop soups too. My next door neighbor swears by their Peking duck. Egg rolls are never greasy. Staff is very friendly and order comes out reasonably fast.

The food is average to very good depending on what you get. General Tsoos, Egg fu youn, Dragon and Phenox are very good, Lomain So So, chicken wings good and four times bigger than pappa jhons. They deliver all the way to Mayo and portions are very generous.

The chef always puts on quite a show for the 10-or-so people gathered around each grill. If your group has a smaller number, you'll be seated with others, which works out fine. You can order sushi or non-tempanyaki items too. I had shrimp tempura with vegetables and it was perfect. Another in our group had tempura crab, which also got raves. Tempanyaki dinners come with extras like noodles and grilled vegetables, so there is often some to take home.

Went with friends for lunch. Visually pleasing, but there was an odd odor I do not typically associate with Vietnamese food that permeated to restaurant. Wait staff was prompt to get orders and pleasant, but strangely I never received a napkin or silverware. Water refills were timely, and staff was attentive, but...no napkin? I ordered a sandwich so the silverware was not needed but still an aberration from typical seating. The food was quite good and enjoyed by all, but was not brought out at the same time. One person at our table was served almost 10 minutes before everyone else, and waited patiently. The soups were declared delicious and seemed to have been made fresh. My sandwich was good, not great. Prices were quite reasonable.

On a hot summer night my husband and I joined another couple who'd recommended this restaurant, located in a large shopping mall outside of Annapolis. We rarely leave Annapolis to dine, so our expectations were high. How delighted we were to have them all met! Nova not only offers a great selection of sushi and other Asian dishes, but these were some of the freshest I've experienced. The shrimp fried rice was especially good, very light - not something that had sat in a pot all day. Same for the sushi. Our four meals were delicious, topped off by pistachio cheesecake, also a real treat. We definitely will be back - with more friends!.

Thai food restaurant
My husband and I consider this our secret favorite place so I hesitated writing a review. But I see some uncharitable comments posted on TripAdvisor recently so thought I'd write a good review of this wonderful gem of a neighborhood restaurant. All you really need to know is that the dishes are freshly cooked to order using lots of fresh ingredients and everything tastes amazing. My husband always comments on how inexpensive dining at M Thai Kitchen is compared to other Annapolis restaurant faves when he receives the bill. A retired woman friend who used to be a chef & cook on estates loves the flavors of this restaurant's dishes as well.If this eatery were in Annapolis proper, it would have a line out the door every night. We enjoy talking with one of the owners, the husband, too. They do not have a liquor license, but you can bring your own bottle and the server will bring wine glasses. Here are some other details to take your into consideration before dining here:This is a small local restaurant owned by a couple. The wife, from Thailand originally, is the chef. It is not decorated by a designer inside, it looks like a local Thai restaurant you'd find on the West Coast, not a corporate restaurant. They have a big takeout business, so some people come in to wait for their take out orders. The dishes may not taste exactly like they do at other Thai restaurants you have visited, even in Thailand. They may not have sticky sweet sauces or may have slightly different ingredients. This is one Thai woman's Thai cooking. The ingredients are fresh. If you are used to fast food, highly processed food (prepared foods), or chain restaurants, you may not be able to taste the amazing flavor of this food. This food may not be as hot as you want or as mild as you want. Ask. If you don't want hot food, let them know. If you've burned out your taste buds & need the fire, let them know.Edgewater, the area where the restaurant is located, has lots of restaurants where the flat screen TVs hanging on the walls & sports playing on the screens are more important than the flavor of the food or freshness of ingredients. There are plenty of options nearby for those who want a sports bar, fried food experience. For those who want delicious, fresh "home cooked" Thai food served in a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere, this is a restaurant to try.
