Dinner for three last night. I forgot my wallet but was recognized by the restaurant manager who allowed the "locals" discount even though my colleague paid on my behalf. The weather and outlook was stunning.Service good and the food excellent. Entrees were reef fish ceviche and dumplings which we shared.I really enjoyed my Rendang Beef Cheeks which were a special and my colleagues duck curry and Korean chicken which was quite spicy.Hi Timtom57We are always happy to see a 'local' face and are pleased you enjoyed your dinning experience at Paper Crane. Hope to see you again soon for more delicious food!

Iâve just finished my meal here, and it was superb. Easily the best currys I have eaten in Australia, and the service was wonderful. I will definitely be recommending this to any friends visiting the area and I will definitely be eating here again when I next visit Cairns. Thank you Spicy Bite!

If you like the Gordon Ramsay style of cheffing with lots of Afro vibes from the Chef this is the place. The staff were all doing their best with a controlling, hostile boss. It was so awful it has taken 4 months to write the review because I suspect he would find a way to have it removed. The food was terrible... authenticity bad, home cooking. Plates of bean shoots and boiled chicken in a murky broth. Could not get out of there quick enough. No ambiance, had to ask for air conditioning to be put on on a sweltering, sticky, humid night. Dear El,We are not quite sure what you mean by "Affro vibes" as the chef/owner is actually a classically French-trained Philippino. Our small, loyal staff are treated very fairly by all management and if you believe you saw something unfriendly then that is a kitchen issue. The customer is not always aware of all the things that need to happen to get high quality food to our customers. Our 24 hour clear chicken broth is a very popular dish, it comes in a large bowl with a whole poached chicken Maryland atop a mound of wombok, beanshoots, dried garlic, spring onions, bok choy leaves and stems, definitely not murky. We strive to provide a peaceful enjoyable ambiance at all times. You mentioned you visited 4 months ago, while it was winter time, we don't usually run air conditioning in winter but will always accommodate for customers particular temperature requirements if at all possible. You must have been very disturbed to have chosen not to post your review for four months. In the future if you have issue with an establishment the best policy is to discuss your concerns immediately with management to give them a chance to rectify any problems.

Whilst they are not located in the city centre, they are well positioned on Mulgrave Road. The family have run their business successfully here for many years. I think they have the best Thai in Cairns personally.

Being Wonton Soup fans Jenny's kitchen was recommended to us 2 years ago by friends. We were impressed straightaway with the quality, taste and freshness of the food as well as the great service provided. Maggie and I always stop in for a meal here which has become our milestone. Highly recommended

Xanadu on Collins provides the most authentic and fresh Chinese food for all food-lovers. ** Please Note the kitchen closes 30 minutes prior to closing time.
Pleasant outdoor setting, comfortable chairs, and charming staff. But very disappointing food. Lemon chicken: rather than the light, tender, pieces of chicken in a subtly flavoured sauce we are accustomed to, we were served pieces of chicken, some quite tough, in a heavy batter and cloying sweet sauce. Steamed rice was good. Singapore noodles: noodles were reasonably flavoured and textured, and the stirred in bits of omelette were fine, but the tiny bits hard pork were hard, and there was not much else.. We did not return for another meal.

This is a very popular asian restaurant for its fine food, large servings at a below average cost. They provide great customer service, little waiting time and the place is clean and cozy inside and outside. I always get their chicken fried rice meal! They also keep the vagrants away, unlike some other food places on this block.

Bayleaf Balinese Restaurant has been a well loved and highly regarded restaurant in Cairns for many years, serving authentic Balinese cuisine. This multi award winning restaurant offers a true dining experience. Head Chef Made Upadana was trained in Bali
This was our second time dining at this wonderful establishment and we werenât disappointed. The restaurant is off the tourist trail, so you only get locals and people in the know or staying in the vicinity eating here. The food is wonderfully flavoursome, service efficient and ambience is cosy. Bookings are advisable on weekends and we prefer terrace dining when the weather is favourable. I personally have no desire to ever return to Bali, but would willing return there in spirit by eating here whenever Iâm in Cairns. Check it out.

Very reasonable prices , fast and nice service, certainly not a restaurant, more like a typical Thai eatery somewhere in Bang Kong.

A group of us from work had dinner here recently. I ordered fried rice with vegetables, but there was hardly any vegetables. However, we also had pre-ordered their large snapper (fish, for $49.50) which was alright. The place is unpretentious ie basic, not fancy, food was generally tasty, located not far from the CBD and parking was easy as generally is in Cairns area BUT the place was extremely noisy, peopleâs voices were echoing off the walls, we were like almost shouting across the table to be heard, not sure why. This was the only drawback.
