Hidden gem in Croydon. Dumplings are superb. We started with the spring rolls (fantastic), duck dumplings, rice noodle rolls, Shanghai dumplings and BBQ pork buns. All fantastic quality and excellent value. Service is great and, while not a palatial restaurant, this is the best Chinese Iâve had in the eastern suburbs. Highly recommended.
Came here for a bite to eat and we had the most amazing food. Located in the Main Street of Croydon, this small, simply decorated restaurant has a lot going for it. The menu has plenty of variety and caters are all dietary needs. Whether youâre after seafood, soup style or the chicken popcorn that puts KFC to shame youâll find something thatâll tickle your tastebuds. Do try the bibimap. Awesome flavours in that one with just a nice spiciness. Plus youâll also be served an amazing array of of condiments with the meal - the lotus was deliciously tasty. The takeaway part of the business was also doing s good trade. Anything we couldnât eat we got to take home as well. Staff are really lovely and the service is fast. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good carparking in Main Street. High chairs available. A must try.

We just ordered takeaway online for lunch on a Sunday, when youâd assume Little Dumpling wouldnât be super busy. The online confirmation said it wouldnât be ready until 2pm (50 minute wait, for pick up). In this area thatâs the kind of wait time youâd normally have on a Friday night during peak time, so we thought it seemed super long and called to confirm whether it was just the system and if we could pick it up a bit earlier. The man on the phone told us no, âweâre a little occupied right nowâ. Havenât tried the food yet, but probably wonât be going back.
We have been here a few times and the food is always consistently good. It is not traditional Chinese food but for Australian is ed Chinese it is hard to beat. Just to mention, don't be put off buy the plain decor because it is the food you want to think about. Also have to mention that the staff there are friendly and talkative if it isn't too busy.

Cafe by Day & Thai at Night Daytime Cafe with good coffee, typical cafe food, Smashed Avocado, Eggs Benedict, Congie, Share Platter. At night time its a full Thai menu Restaurant modern takes on the Thai Classics
We had our Christmas get together at Thor Ra Née. Our first visit, we were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and knew their menu. They gave us suggestions regarding flavors etc. We brought our own wine and we split the bill upon paying. My friends ordered the scallop sliders which they absolutely loved and I ordered the mushroom and chicken puffs omg, beautiful flavors. We ordered massamum beef curry, chicken with basil and chili stir fry, a noodle dish with beef and rice. All were very generous serves and tasted wonderful. Weâll be back and Iâll be bringing my family too. Theyâre a cafe by day and Thai by night. Theyâre also open for brekky.

Midweek family catchup my son wanted me to try this Thai eatery having enjoyed dinner here two nights earlier. Around 7.00pm it was not crowded & service was attentive & helpful. We decided on entrees of beef satays & chicken curry puffs which were freshly prepared & tasty. Mains included Pla Sam Rod; crispy fish fillets with tangy & sweet sauce (was a bit salty for me) although quite delicious with coconut rice, grilled pork, Thai beef salad were equally tasty & the seafood Pad Thai was certainly a winner. The Thai baked Coconut custard with coconut ice-cream was a heavenly finale. The extensive menu deserves another few more visits. Reasonably priced for family catchups.Weâll be back!!

Weâve eaten here several times and the food is consistently delicious. Entree spring rolls and satay yummy. Red duck curry and Mussaman curries are fresh and flavorful and the Pad Thai always a fave with us. Flavors are amazing, servings are generous, staff are efficient and friendly. Mid priced dinner in a small, clean environment.

Went here as we were looking for new Thai restaurant as our local has gone downhill badly. TA reviews were good and we werenât disappointed. Service was prompt friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly and was quite tasty. Menu recommendations by wait staff were appreciated. Only negative was that they are a bit stingy on the roti. We will definitely be back. Prices reasonable.

Only small, but never fails to serve delicious , authenticThai food. Max is a gracious host, happy to accomodate last minute diners, but I wouldnât recommend not booking as it gets very busy. The latest refurbishing of the restaurant is a great improvement but the food is the star.

thought we would give this place another go at a less busy time. Still cant see why people think it's so good. Food was average, cooked to order so you do need to wait however staff buzz around like they are busy but dont actually seem to be doing anything. So many places that have better service & better food
