££-£££, Japanese Cuisine, Sushi and Ramen Restaurant. Fresh and Traditional Asian Taste. Child Friendly Restaurant.
This relatively new addition to the ever expanding East Belfast food scene was a welcome surprise - but really, plastic trees in the sushi? What a blast from the past! And itâs BYOB £3.00 CorkageWeâve driven past this restaurant a few times and it always looked intriguing. After hearing a few favourable comments, and having a rare free Saturday evening, we decided to give it a shot.We made a booking and were glad we did, because it was packed, and walk-ins were being politely turned away. There was an eclectic combination of customers which really gave the place a buzzy vibe.We ordered several dishes: to start-Spicy Tuna RollYasai GyozaKushiyaki &EdamameAnd for mains-Salmon teriyaki soba &Tofu steakIt was all excellent quality and it arrived when cooked, so this meant that we had time to savour each dish. If youâre in a rush, the service may feel a little slow, but we were delighted that we had time to enjoy each course before another arrived. There were two slightly odd things which confused us somewhat - we expect to be offered chopsticks in an Asian restaurant but when we sat at the table we were told that the restaurant had no chopsticks left. However when we looked round, one table of two which hadnât yet arrived had chopsticks on theirs. We asked if could we have them, so the waitress then supplied us with those chopsticks. However during our meal we discovered that other tables were having chopsticks delivered to them on request and at the end of the evening, all the tables being set for lunch the next day were furnished with, yes you guessed it, chopsticks!! We were told there werenât any! It just all felt a little bit weird.Secondly, a slightly retro peculiarity is the abundance of plastic foliage decorating the spicy tuna roll which felt completely unnecessary even though it made us smile about âSaturday Night Beneath The Plastic Palm Treesâ by The Leyton Buzzards, and Radioheadâs âFake Plastic Treesâ. Ah nostalgia!Overall we were really very pleasantly surprised at this addition to the area, providing fantastic quality Japanese food in an eclectic environment. It had a buzzing atmosphere and we will definitely be back.Hello! What an amazing and very detailed review, We loved it!!!! We treasure all our customers feedbacks including yours and makes us aware of what we can do better.... We are happy and thankful for spending your time with us... We hope to see you again soon! we are now open in our new state of the art premises at 68-72 great Victoria street Belfast, Serving the very best in Indian cuisine and expertly mixed cocktails.
Our second time eating in Nu Delhi and this time brought our friends with us to try it. We all went for the banquet which is 3 courses for £22 and excellent value. The menu has so much choice and the food we picked was delicious. The service from Ved was second to none... attentive and personable ..just a nice guy..Our food was washed down with deliciously cold pints of Cobra and then we all sampled cocktails from the extensive drinks menu. What a great night out !

OK OK so we don't live 24 hours from Tulsi but we do live at least 24 minutes away. I pass here at least 3 times a week on my way to work so one evening when my wife picked me up we decided to give it a try.It was just after 5pm when we got there so we were the only ones having a sit down meal but the take away department was certainly in full swing. We had poppadums and dips for starters and it was sublime. Both our main courses were amazing and great value and all was served with an exact preciseness which you only seem to get in an Indian Restaurant. The Indian music was nice but not intrusive and the decor was sumptious and tasteful. We would definitely be back as we felt it was a special dining experience.Great your overall experience was good at Tulsi .Hope to see you again .Thankyou for coming.

Booked for dinner Saturday evening. Easy to book online. Friendly attentive staff. Specials menu provided with main menu. For starters we had squid and langoustines. Squid sick and tasty. Langoustines were served in garlic and lemon butter - served cut in half with heads on- lovely and light- would have liked more bread to accompany it. Weâd birders for mains - I would have liked steak but the choices were ribeye or flatiron served pink. That said the burger did not disappoint. Succulent juicy Berger with delicious cashew blue cheese, onion rings and beef tomato. All served with skinny fries. We didnât take desserts or coffee and the bill with one mineral was approx £46. Nice place, well worth a visit- it was a while since weâd been.

The easiest thing to say is this is another Wagamama. Staff not the friendliest but service OK.As for the food my ramen was great, but my daughters steak ramen was pronounced as âchewyâ - at the price youâd expect better. Chicken gyosa great, pork just OK, vegetable inedible.Worst item was the duck wrap which was light on duck, and what there was was dry and well over cooked.Itâs better than the host of burger joints around it, but needs to do better. At over £70 for three people, not great value either

When I ordered a seafood Thai curry I was told that there would be a 35 to 40 minute wait as it was cooked from fresh. This was no problem as we were there for a family evening out and it was well worth the wait. Everyone else took a different dish and all liked it. Nice relaxed setting with very helpful staff. We will be back.

Award winning restaurant serving the best in traditional indian cuisine with a contemporary twist with excellent service to match. We have a great range of early bird and special deals all year round.
We have eaten here once before a long time ago. We ordered Lahore Gosht, butter chicken and a korma for our daughter, as well as the tapas starter. The butter chicken had slices of chicken that obviously were added to the sauce rather than authentically cooked taking on flavour. This dish is supposed to be flavoursome, rich and with the chicken marinaded and cooked in the sauce. The korma was exactly the same as the butter chicken but with chunkier pieces of meat. My daughter aged 9 was given a full adult size portion.Having travelled to India many many times this restaurant left a lot to be desired. When our plates were taken away and the butter chicken had not been touched my husband told the waiter that it was not good, we got no apology and upon paying the bill they had not removed the cost of the dish or offered any reasoning for the food being below par.We have no issue paying for food, but for two adults and one child an £80 bill seems excessive for what we got.Really poor food - such a shame.Wonât be back.

Experience the finest authentic Indian cuisine served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere
I just got a takeaway, a wee bit like warm but 15 minutes in the oven it was really lovely and worth the wait. I did let them know it was a tad cold, they were very gracious. Thanks Comber Tandoori you are truly professional.
