The Chinese food at this restaurant is a little higher class and tastes great. An example of the higher class Chinese restaurant is when you order a shrimp dish, the shrimp will be large. The dinner portions are very large, so you should probably ask for the lunch size portion if you are not really hungry. The only complaint would be that the egg rolls are not very good.

We ordered takeout to be delivered and it was at the house in less than 20 minutes. Arrived hot and order was totally correct. Very reasonable prices. I had sesame chicken whose flavor was very good, but the pieces of chicken were cut very small so they were a bit too crunchy. Pork fried rice was very good. General Tso Chicken was also very good, but again, small pieces of chicken. Pork egg rolls were only average. Crab ragoon was excellent! Bring them on!

We celebrated a 40th birthday at Shogun in Fairview Heights.. Food was excellent & presentation fun. We ordered one each shrimp, chicken and tilapia and all were good. Also enjoyed the rice (loved the sauce!), and vegetables. The meal comes with a two-shrimp appetizer, broth and salad (with the same sauce) and portions are large so you get plenty to eat. I would consider this a special-occasion restaurant mainly due to the price. For our three meals plus one soda and two Japanese beers, we paid $87 although that did include an 18% tip because of the large size of our group. They were extremely busy the night we were there and while our table didn't feel rushed - we were the last to be serviced - some of the other tables did.

Our waitress named Shay was so friendly and pleasant. We have eaten and several places with sour puss waitresses & poor food. This Olive Garden food was great , service was excellent. So great to see a waitress who is friendly & enjoys her job. Highly recommend this restaurant.
