Ok this place is ok for upper social business people. For me I like simple and good tasting. Prices were high. Somewhat confusing menu for this simple guy. Egg roll had an extra spice that definitely was not needed for my traditional egg roll taste. The duck sauce was different too. I didn't care for it. Don't go by my review if you want to try something a little different for that is why I went there. It was different just not the different I was looking for. You may like it.

The restaurant decor is simple yet adequate. The staff friendly yet thin on this Saturday evening. I would give the restaurant a 3.5 for ambiance and service. My sushi was very good. We entered and were someone quickly motioned we could sit anywhere.A few minutes later came water, a few minutes later menus, we ordered drinks (beer & wine) and more than a few minutes later we placed an order. Food delivery was as one would expect.I ordered a dragon roll and a shrimp tempura roll. They were bigger than normal (width) and very tasty. I was pleased. My wife ordered the salmon bento box. She was hungry and did not leave a grain of rice on the plate. The report was good. Not a bad place, not a bad meal. They had two larger groups ( of 8) that might have slowed them down plus they had a good crowd for what appeared to be a staff of three. I score more conservatively than most, too many restaurants on TA with a 4+ that do not deserve an excellent rating. We would return, friendly, caring people.

The best Thai Restaurant in Fairview Heights IL. We serve authentic and revolutionary Thai cuisine with the best customer there is.
We were two couples who went here last night for supper. We were first timers but our friends have been here any times before. They rave about the food. The menu is extensive. It would be impossible to not find something everyone would like. When one orders, one chooses the meal type, the type of meat or seafood, and the degree of heat. I am a non-heat person so I had a pad woon sen with seafood and no spice. It was excellent. There were clams in the shell, scallops, shrimp, and squid. Some places consider no spice = little spice. This place gives exactly what one orders. My husband ordered the Mongolian Barbeque with one degree of heat. He loved it and ate every bite. He said the degree of heat was perfect for him. Our guy friend ordered the gra pao duck with 4 spice level!! He said it was some of the best he has ever had and he was stationed in Thailand for a long time. His wife had the pad Thai with no spice and she was equally as happy. The three of us took home doggie bags. My husband just smiled. The price was very fair for the amount of food prepared. The service was attentive with frequent refills of my soda. We will go again.

Went there today for Sunday lunch..Place was packed, and now we know why..The food was fresh, the waiters, were on the ball. It looked professional with the Sushi Bar..Really had a up to date fancy fixin's. The Wok was busy cookin specials for several customers..I went after the Roast Duck...Way too much to itemize all the things that stood out, that wasn't there over a year ago when we stopped there to eat..Very much improved..Very CLEAN ..Saw several workers busy cleaning..was impressed..More of an adventure in food than just lunch..Even welcomed people with severe disabilities..Good place to take groups of disabled and feel comfortable..we drove over 65 miles to dine there and was glad we did.. Will definitely go back..

We celebrated a 40th birthday at Shogun in Fairview Heights.. Food was excellent & presentation fun. We ordered one each shrimp, chicken and tilapia and all were good. Also enjoyed the rice (loved the sauce!), and vegetables. The meal comes with a two-shrimp appetizer, broth and salad (with the same sauce) and portions are large so you get plenty to eat. I would consider this a special-occasion restaurant mainly due to the price. For our three meals plus one soda and two Japanese beers, we paid $87 although that did include an 18% tip because of the large size of our group. They were extremely busy the night we were there and while our table didn't feel rushed - we were the last to be serviced - some of the other tables did.

Our waitress named Shay was so friendly and pleasant. We have eaten and several places with sour puss waitresses & poor food. This Olive Garden food was great , service was excellent. So great to see a waitress who is friendly & enjoys her job. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The Chinese food at this restaurant is a little higher class and tastes great. An example of the higher class Chinese restaurant is when you order a shrimp dish, the shrimp will be large. The dinner portions are very large, so you should probably ask for the lunch size portion if you are not really hungry. The only complaint would be that the egg rolls are not very good.
