This is the first time we ate Pical Sikai. It's good but unfortunately it's not spicy. It's a typical west Sumatra salad dish. They also sell lamang tapai, lontong and others stuff.

Surprising to see the many positive reviews of this restaurant, which was so bad that my family is still joking about it several weeks after our visit. Maybe it was partly our fault for arriving rather late in the evening, after much of the best food had been picked over. But I've eaten my share of Padang food and this was sub-par. Worse, the staff grossly overcharged us. Between the disappointing food and the shameless rip off, I would suggest your family steer clear of this establishment.

The place is humble but the view they offer is beautiful.. at the base of ngarai sianok itself.. and the duck with green chilli sauce they serve is good well seasoned, slightly spicy and just the right amout of heat. The only flaw i found was that the duck is slightly hard, but overall it is still delicious..

Typical padang food, quite tasty although the rendang is tough enough to hurt your teeth. Staff speak enough English to tell you how things work.

On the main highway going to Pagaruyuang Palace from Bikittingi, before village Pandai Sikek, about 10 kilometers away from Bukittingi, this place is located. This is small shop where they make fresh Pan Cakes- with Coconuts, and with Bananas. They put mashed paste in the form of small cakes in an half-spherical shape urthen pot. It is then covered with another urthen pot with burning fire in it. This gives enough heat to the pan cakes put in the earthen pots below it. The cakes become crispy on outer side and remians soft from inside. They are sweet, and delicious. Fresh warm cakes are best but they can be eaten even on next day.

De kock cafe opened 1.5 years ago and now there are additional existing core businesses lodgings 4 rooms. We always open 24 hours and the cafe is open from 6 am until 1 pm . because then I add the name of my restaurant so De kock cafe bed and breakfast .
De Kock Cafe has been in the scene in Bukittinggi for ages. The food here is really good, staff are very efficient and the service is superb. There is really nothing I can complain about this place. You can sit down here and chill all day long, just by meeting new friends and chit-chatting around with the locals here. Love it and will be back for sure.

TARUKO caferesto is not just a regular cafe and restaurant, but a dining place with natural atmosphere located in the middle of terraces rice fields in emerald green of Sianok canyon. The fresh mountain air will make visitors feel comfortable and relaxed.
As others have noted, this place is a bit out of town and well worth the drive! The views in every direction are exceptional. GREAT place for breakfast even though I was not enthralled with the special Taruko coffee. The banana pancake was delicious and other dishes ordered by our Indonesian (Balinese) friend were also really good. Most of all, though, the setting cannot be beat!

European style cafe/bistro restaurant serving freshly cooked internationsal and local Indonesian cuisine, in the centre of the popular tourist destination of Bukittinggi, Indonesia. This is the place to go in Bukittinggi to enjoy a memorable meal out at v
We had a wonderful dinner at Turret Cafe. We were greeted by a lovely lady and ordered the steak with fries and beef rendang. Usually Western food isn't great at Indonesian restaurants, but the steak and french fries were perfect! The beef rendang was also very tasty. Great value for money, 100% recommended!
