When we arrived at Bombay Clay Pit on a winter night we were greeted and seated promptly but found ourselves somewhat uncomfortable as the only guests. This restaurant was formerly a barbecue place and the transformation seems to have been largely limited to hanging pictures of India on the wall; I found the large TV in the dining room somewhat out of place. We're inexperienced with Indian cuisine and our server, while pleasant enough, wasn't particularly good at explaining the different items or offering suggestions. We finally decided to treat it like a typical Chinese restaurant and ordered a couple of curry items plus rice. Although the sign in the window advertised Indian Kingfisher beer it wasn't actually available and we had to settle for a common domestic brew. We found the food delicious, and although we're not very knowledgeable about Indian cooking it certainly seemed pretty authentic - except for the beer there didn't seem to be any compromises for the American palate. The service and ambiance weren't so great, but we think we'll give it another try on a future occasion mostly because we like to support local restaurants.

Dined here for a girls' night out and it was absolutely delicious. The appetizers alone would make meal and we ordered them liberally. Vegetable rolls, cream cheese rangoons, pot stickers, pineapple fried rice, etc. were all just dive-in scrumptious. The only thing I didn't love was the Phad Thai but we have such an excellent Phad Thai where we live that I'm sure I'm spoiled.The service was great and, unfortunately, the place was nearly empty. Don't understand why as the food was so remarkable and the atmosphere was really beautiful. I hope many more discover this gem because I've never been to ANY Thai restaurant that was better overall. This would be a fantastic destination for a date, romantic dinner with a spouse, or just some good girl catch-up time like we enjoyed.

We've been going to TSJ's since they open their first location in Antioch. My oldest son had his wedding reception there, we've had many family dinners as well as client lunches at that location. What I most admire about the restaurant is that they cooked a number of dishes without corn starch or sugar. They modified about five dishes that they now call Janets tow food Janets a plant Janets string beans etc. they are the best Chinese restaurant around. The food is always hot fresh and will cooked and if it's not, they will take it off the menu. My grandchildren have been accompanying us and stay all have been babies. And we missed the local one that closed a couple of years ago but come down to this location when I am Jones-in for the best Chinese food around.

Best Vietnamese food in Brentwood! The service is impeccable. Every time I dine in or take out I am greeted with nothing less than friendly, respectful service. The food is delicious and served with a quickness better than a fast food chain. Pho is their specialty, but everything I have tried is good. Especially the fresh spring rolls.

We visit Brentwood pretty often and we eat out all the time. One of our favorite places is Mikado because they have such a variety of choices. Within the Japanese/Chinese cuisine, they have everything and their sushi is great. They always have very friendly servers who are attentive, no matter how busy they are.

We were totally impressed with the service, quality of food, the flavors, the price....what else can I say? Oh yes, the beer was real cold!It is a small restaurant, and when we were there the place was packed with lots of families. Always a good sign when a place is busy.... the food gets turned faster, and seems to validate the food being good when you see so many people there.Next time in the area, it will be high on our list!
