At least they could cook good food? After traveling in Nepal and India for a while I do not even bother to concern my self with the level of hygiene, Interior or service in cheap places like this. Sometimes you are lucky and meat some great people with smiley faces. But, at least you always know that the curry will be good! But not here.. It was to spicy, to salty and in top of that the chair was falling apart and the waiter was kind of "I don't give a ****" so sorry OM.. Do better

The restaurants of Bodhgaya seem to be perpetually empty so finding somewhere to eat isn't easy unless you want to dine somewhere that's deserted. We stumbled across this place and were drawn in by the number of locals hanging around eating chaat. The restaurant upstairs was inevitably empty so we decided to join them downstairs in the stand up, eat fast area. We tried the chole batura and the samosa. The chole was OK but the batura was very greasy. The samosas were nice. Very cheap but not great.

The Best cafe for Coffee in Bodh Gaya. You can enjoy delicious food and instagram it too. Did we mention we provide High Speed Wi-Fi for free of cost. From Spaghetti to Noodles. Everything is available.
French toast and pancake was not tasty at all. The tea however is good and this is the only nice terrace in Bodhgaya to sit. We did have a nice room upstairs the cafe called Guptahouse. We gave Bikki, the guy from the rooms, our faith in buying bustickets to go to Varanasi instead of taking the train like any tourist would do. He said the bus was cheaper an easier, it would be a 6 hour drive, instead we spent 10 hours on the road in a very crapy local bus and probably payed double the price. This was after we already made a nice gift to the local school he took us.

The place is located well and inside the best hotel in town. But still staff lack basic etiquettes for services. Took a long time to take an order, in fact we had to go to the reception area to get someone to take the order. The food was decent. That's about it. No ambience.

Centrally located on the rooftop of Sakura House with a view of the Mahabodhi temple and city around. Perfect place to hangout with friends...
I found this place during the Dalai Lamas teachings in January. There were a lot of people in Bodhgaya and this was one of the few places in the middle of town that you could escape to and find some peace! It has good fresh food at a good price and a view over Bodgaya. You can see the top of the Mahabodhi temple from the tables!
Oaks Cafe at Oaks Bodhgaya offers the convenience of all-day dining at its onsite restaurant, perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a late night meal, as well as a kiosk and bakery serving up a selection of tasty treats to go. Throughout the day, choose
Chef Nasim and his entire staff provided a great experience for me. Quick, friendly service and Chef even went out of his way to make me fresh momos. No details were overlooked and Iâm incredibly grateful for the experience, tasty food and smiling service.

Pro:You get the best cup of Coffee in bodhgaya here for an unbeatable price. A Korean lady has introduced the coffee making to this place which enriches the menu a lot.The Staff is friendly. The boss Mohammed is an awesome guy who works as much as his staff and doesnât care about hierarchies. Cons: Unfortunately the food is just average. They serve the classics such as thukpa, Momos, Fried Rice ect and some western dishes as well. But those I have tried were not authentic. But still a great treat if you have enough of Indian food:)For most of the people itâs great because there is no better place around which is that cheap. Food leaves space for improvement though. The seating area outside is calm and peaceful which is a big pro as well. I give 5 stars because there is no better and clean place in this price category. Also you donât get sick here. Itâs all clean!

Best food in bodhgaya
Not sure why the reviews are so good for this place, we went for dinner during our trip to Bodhgaya/Gaya and were not impressed. Rats in the restaurant!! Flickering light above the table, plenty of mosquitos buzzing around. The "coconut milk yum tum soup" - if I remember the name right - did not have any coconut milk, but was tasty. The paneer in the Chilli Paneer was burnt. Many items were "not available". Rest of the food was OK, we had some of the chinese items. Service was good.

The signature dish - thentuk noddles in variance of plain, egg or cheese, and its big bowl too! Hot ginger honey lemon drink is perfect for winter here.

I have been a regular visitor over past couple of months to work from the cafe and was surprised to find such an amazing place in Bodh Gaya. Freshly prepared tasty food, reasonably priced as compared to other coffee chains, amazing ambience and excellent choice of music! Parmatma is really attentive and helpful looking after the guests. Quirky pleasant decor, with only one hitch...feel books should have been placed on a side shelf to browse through rather being stuck on ceiling...
