Back in the day the Silver Dragon served up some pretty decent Chinese food in the area. But the past few visits over the last couple of years were disappointing. The food seemed extremely greasy and simply not very appealing. They have recently reopened after the owner passed away, so I decided to give them another chance. I was very pleased with my meal. The portions were beyond generous, leftovers galore and the prices were affordable. I will be back, but I am hoping the operation stays this way.

Some Panda Express locations show their age, in their building, seating and how the food tastes when the equipment is not fully cleaned. My wife likes Panda Express, but always orders the Chow Mein. I do not like most Panda Express locations, due to the food taste.This location is NEW and the food was FRESH and TASTY. The equipment is still capable of producing food that has a fresh taste. My wife explored and got the Chow Mein combination with Mushroom Chicken. I think that it is her new Panda Express favorite.I had the Fried Rice, Orange Chicken and Grilled Teriyaki Chicken combination. The fried rice was tasty and had not been sitting in the steam table too long. The orange chicken must also be a favorite as it was also fresh. The teriyaki chicken tasted a bit dried out, so not a favorite.The portions were enough to be filled without being too full. I may, or may not, return to Panda Express with my wife, but I know now that the newer the location the better tasting the food. And also note which are the "local favorites" so that you get fresh food and not something that has been sitting in the steam table for too long.

...but the decor is, ah, functional. Still, it gets 4 stars for quality and value. BBQ pork salad rolls are very tasty. Wife had beef bulgogi and loved it. I had bibimbap and it was excellent. The kimchi was pretty pedestrian but still added the necessary exclamation point to a dish that is intended to be all about the rice.Service was pleasant and efficient.This is not a place to take someone on a romantic date. But it IS a place to go for well-prepared Asian food at extremely good prices. It will become a regular destination for us.

Happy Family was recommended to us by our neighbor who has lived in the area for over 30 years. We have driven by Happy Family several times during our 3 years in the area and hadn't really noticed it. The exterior doesn't have much appeal but the interior is clean and comfortable. It's a family restaurant and obviously popular with the locals. I believe they do a very good take-out business as well. I can assure you we will trying the take out soon. Now for the purpose of our gathering. The menu is diverse. There is a vegetarian, American and Chinese portion of the menu. We ordered a #2 and a #6. We could have easily share one meal with plenty for each of us. But the waitress, who was very nice and efficient, boxed up our meals for us when we were done and we had them for lunch the next day. I have to say, the chow mein was excellent! The sweet and sour chicken was very tasty and my wife loved her moo goo gai pan! VERY generous portions and reasonable prices! A hidden gem!

I can say that this is the only restaurant in BG that has been consistently very good for the past 8+ years. The portions and food are good - and the service is very good.

Keo Thai is the best Thai restaurant in Battle Ground. All appetizers and entrees are delicious. I highly recommend any curry (my favorite is the green), pad kee mow, and fried spring rolls. Their Thai iced tea is exceptional. And not only is the food amazing, the service is exceptional, always friendly and prompt.
