A spur of the moment decision to have a table for four we were seated quickly as the restaurant was only half full we waited a while and were offered drinks and poppadoms which came out reasonably quickly we ordered our meals and waited and waited after 40 minutes we asked after our order and the waiter looked shocked that we had the cheek to ask he made a mumbled comment and disappeared a further 20 minutes and several other enquiries from fellow customers who had also got fed up with waiting and our food finally arrived happily it was good food and tasty but I would recommend packing a snack box and comfortable clothing for the wait

Unfailingly popular with local diners seeking something unpretentious and fuss-free, Banburys New Mogul Indian Cuisine is a traditional Indian restaurant where youll enjoy all your favourite curry, tandoori and biryani specialties at reasonable pric
No amount of words can express how great this restaurant is. From the moment we entered and were greeted with energy and enthusiasm by the manager (Zahid), confirmed all the brilliant reviews which ive heard about New Mogul prior to my visit. The waiters are extremely attentive, professional and very knowledgeable on the food they have to offer and different herbs & spices. The curries were unique, full of flavour, the meats was succulent, the bread was fresh and soft, the rice nice and fluffy. We will definitely be visiting again very soon. Thank you New Mogul for making a regular weekend meal a true dining experience.

My wife and I decided last minute to walk down to the Voujon for a meal and we are so glad we did. We were greeted by the owner who was so friendly and directed us to the newer dining room to the rear of the restaurant which is beautifully decorated with neat LED lighting. The waiter who took our order was very jovial and we had some great banter. We ordered from the Masterchef Creations and Tawa Specials as we prefer the more authentic Indian food instead of the Anglicised Indian food which is just too sloppy. We ordered the Shaslick Bhuna and Tawa Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi with side order of Pilau Rice and Plain NanWOW it was delicious and we decided to finish off all of the Jalfrezi between us as it was so delicious - there was no trace of the meal after we wiped up ever bit with the nan. Best Jalfrezi EVER !!We decided to ask for the Bhuna to be boxed up to go and they threw in a complimentary Pilau Rice to boot. All in a very enjoyable dining experience and my favourite Indian Restaurant in Banbury - canât wait till my next visit.

Dropped in for a meal with a mate and friendly staff were very attentive without being annoying which happens all too often in Indian restaurants.Food was quickly served, fresh and very tasty accompanied by an enormous naan bread. All in with a meal each and 2 rounds of drinks we only paid £40 !!Definitely, recommend the Jay Pur if you are looking for an affordable and tasty Indian meal with friends.

The Thai Orchid is one of Banburyâs few hidden gems... although on the pricey side, the food here is outstanding and the restaurant itself provides a oriental feeling that immerses you in your dinner and takes you away from dullness of Banbury and transports you into the heart of Southeast Asia. The staff here are very friendly and helpful with their service. There was some confusion among our order, however they were quick to fix it and werenât rude to us at all upon doing so. This meant that our experience was not hindered and so the evening continued to be very enjoyable. To quote the brilliant Jeremy Clarkson: âThere's no such thing as cheap and cheerful. It's cheap and nasty & expensive and cheerfulâ, thankfully the Thai Orchid is definitely the latter but please do not let the slightly higher prices put you off this gem of a restaurant. Go out and enjoy the authentic Thai experience!

Thai cooks have never been in the habit of recording measurements of ingredients or time of cooking. They cook by experience and " feel" and the art of ancient recipes handed down in families, by practice. The Thai make much use in their food with such co
Stopped off here on our way home from London and were pleasantly surprised. The food was lovely and the staff friendly. My one down side was, being vegetarian, I know it can be difficult with Thai food as they use a lot of shrimp paste and fish sauce. I asked about the 2 curries (labelled as being vegetarian) and was told they had shrimp paste in them. However the waitress was very understanding, knew exactly what I was asking and told me which dishes were suitable and I had a lovely pad Thai. Just a shame that dishes labelled on the menu as being vegetarian actually weren't.

I absolutely LOVE this place. My family absolutely love it too. This is not just the best Indian cuisine restaurant in the North Oxfordshire area, but it is the BEST I've visited in the whole of the UK. Delicious, mouthwatering food, including some of the best curry dishes you're ever likely to taste - that is delivered hot to the table and is well presented. As for the staff - they are wonderful. This place has some of the nicest, most helpful, welcoming staff you could ever wish for. I enjoyed another birthday here last night with the family and they even presented me with a card and a nice bottle of ale! Little touches like that make all the difference. Furthermore, this is a clean, well presented establishment which lies in the heart of the countryside and has a great, positive atmosphere. I hope they keep on doing what they're doing for a long time to come!
