Although it's just 35 minutes by ferry from Seattle, Bainbridge Island is a totally different world. Travelers who enjoy the outdoors can hike, bike or walk in the Bloedel Reserve or Fort Ward State Park. The island feels rural, and local agriculture is a source of pride for residents (check out what's in season at the farmers' market). Bainbridge Island is also known for its strong visual and performing arts culture, and there's good shopping in Winslow.

We were really pleased to have an alternative place for Asian food, but were very underwhelmed with the food. The service was ok and efficient but the food was bland and we have not been back.

Most people get their meal to go but you can eat inside the restaurant. I think it is just ok but lots of friends use this as their go-to fast meal. You get a decent serving of chicken teriyaki and either white or brown rice. Nothing special but when you are wanting to just eat something this would work.

Well-prepared traditional Thai dishes, friendly service, a comfortable space. You can eat in or take out. Favorites are the Panang curry and of course, phad tai. A share plate of appies is always great--satay, crispy parcels, spring rolls. Pick your spice level, anywhere from zero stars to five. There are fresh spring rolls on the weekend. Recommended for the sunny south end of Bainbridge.

This is worth it for the great outdoor "patio" setting, overlooking Eagle Harbor and the marina. The food was good, but definitely not the best Thai I've had. The service was very good, the owner chatty and friendly. I would like to have seen a written drinks menu (what beer and wine were available, etc.). There was none, and I was a little hesitant when asked what we'd like to drink. Lots of gluten free options. Dog friendly patio seating.

We stumbled on this place while wandering around. The space was small and cute inside and had a small patio outside. My husband ordered the small bowl tofu and veggie pho and I ordered the small bowl of brisket pho. We were surprised at how large the bowls were then our server brought them out. There is a lot of food in a small bowl. I wouldn't call these small in fact. I struggled to finish my bowl and I ended up leaving some in the bottom. The brisket and broth were both good. Everything tasted like it consisted of very fresh ingredients. Some of the best pho I've had in a while. Our server was nice. She checked on us a couple of times and also left us alone to work on our bowls, which took a while. It was a busy Friday afternoon and they were busy with a decent size lunch crowd. I will say that the ladies bathroom was not very clean and smelled awful. But the rest of the restaurant looked fine to me. It's worth a try if you're in the area and like pho.

I love, love, love Thai food -- and I have a) been to Thailand many times and have friends and relatives who have lived there for years and years. They vouch for my impression that this is the real deal, authentic Thai food. Who knew that away from Seattle on Bainbridge Island would be this oasis of Thai succulence? If you have a big party, get the whole fried fish with sweet pepper sauce. Mmmm! I am also a lover of Thai green papaya salad. They do this well, too, with shrimp. Their Penang curry is good, too, I prefer with beef but you may have other preferences.

They are consistently good and prepare authentic Japanese sushi, sashimi and other specialties including some Korean dishes. There are good menu choices for kids.Which is why they are always busy. Cordial and efficient service and well presented food with quality ingredients. Trip advisor consistently fails to include this among the top ten restaurants and that is a glitch in the ratings system. They deserve much better. We highly recommend Subi.
