Things to do in Bago
Shwe Ohn Pin was located on Yangon Bago Road near Bago toll gate, it is the best Myanmar traditional restaurant not only in Bago City but also in Bago and Naypyidaw regions. The food there are simply delicious and can get the real taste of Myanmar traditional cuisineHighly Recommended
I love food taste and good service (Waiter ever smile and active , they are good to take the picture for customer) Decoration is Royal and the only one Hantharwaddy style in Bago .
The family run Shwe Le Restaurant is a great place to eat homemade burmese food together with the families and working class of Bago. the menue is small but offers all the essential of the burmese cuisine plus some bbq versions. it´s open for lunch and dinner and offers a real burmese dining experience including star cola, rice from the big bowl and plenty of old (and not so old) burmese ads. and the prices are also very accomodating.

This restaurant was recommended by the local people. This is a family run restaurant. Clean and comfortable but without air-conditional.Staff and boss were very friendly. We love the sweet and sour pork ball. Free Chinese tea is provided. Other drinks are available for order as well.

Myanmar being what it is, they don't really have the concept of left luggage. We had planned a day trip to Bago on the train from Yangon, and then continuing onto Thazi (night sleeper) and then the slow train to Inle. But we needed somewhere to stash our bag for the day.We ignored the touts outside the station and wandered along to the main road and found ourselves outside the Three Five hotel with its cavernous restaurant on the ground floor. We ordered some hot drinks, and asked the staff whether they would keep our bag (rucksack) for the day, and they were happy to do so - it was stuffed behind the cash desk. A fairly informal arrangement, no money changed hands, and there was no receipt. But it was there waiting for us at 5pm, and we sat down to have a beer and a snack and we ordered a fired rice to take away to have on the train a little later. The food and drink were fine, nothing to write home about. The restaurant itself is basic. The staff were attentive and eager to please, and unusually seemed to be quite happy and merry with each other, mainly boys, joking and mucking around a little. I doubt this place really is a culinary destination, but it provided us a very important and valuable service during our trip to Bago. They had free Wifi.

We were on our way to Mawlamyaine and our tour guide decided that we should eat lunch here. Since we have not been here before, we let our guide, Thiha, do the ordering. The restaurant was very big, clean and spacious. The food was excellent and the service was fast. The food presentation was good. Portions were big and there was more than enough food for all 4 of us. There were lots of customers then but it did not take long to get our food. The atmosphere was nice. There was a nice garden in the back of the restaurant where there were potted plants, as well. The restrooms were located near the garden. There were a lot of tourists from Asia- Thailand, China and Vietnam. I definitely recommend this place.

Great food/service.Upstair room has fantastic view of the Shwemawdaw Paya. Bago, former capital of the Mon Empire,is a easy day trip from Yangon
I spent two days in Bago last August and, except for breakfast, had all my meals at this restaurant. This is a great place to visit....The setting is superb-a grand colonial building, renovated and well maintained. The staff are super efficient and very friendly and take a genuine interest in the customer...Food is top class...This place is excellent for lunch, for dinner and for snack food...I can recommend the stir-fry chicken...the soup is also very good...Prices are very reasonable and, after Yangon, are very low indeed...top marks to the staff--in particular Noy Moe Lin...excellent place....Worth 10 out of 10.

This restaurant is focusing to the tourists who come and visit to Bago. Staffs are friendly and Supervisors or Managers are able to speak English. So, the tourists can ask the brief of the meals. Clean, neat and tidy restaurants. The place is not in the main road and it's located among the local houses and monasteries. You can walk in the street and see the big local old houses.
