A very friendly welcome.The restaurant gave us immediately a good impression as it was very clean, although simply arranged.The dinner was good - a gentle mixture between European and Japanese.Like most restaurants in France, it was slightly expensive by comparison with other European countries ( for similar quality and service.)

Kabuki may be the only sushi restaurant in Auray, but it's the only one we'll ever need. When I want sushi (and that means fresh, seasonal, and--as much as possible-- locally-sourced), I know Kabuki has my back. The main, male waiter has got an awesome sense of humor, and the main, male sushi chef definitely knows how to prepare tasty fish and shellfish.Since Kabuki is also the only Japanese restaurant in Auray, it's kind of a bummer that they don't do other traditional hot dishes like udon noodle soup (because I would definitely order that, A LOT), but I can't really fault them for sticking to their guns. Kabuki is a sushi place, and that's what they do well.*A small notice to (especially) American customers: Try not to freak out over the relatively smaller portion sizes. You're getting your money's worth in quality, trust me.

Went in to a very empty restaurant that looked like something from the 60âs. Asked for a take-away to which grumpy lady told us nothing was ready and we would have to wait. We said ok and she flung us a take away menu that had no food explanation on it. We looked - she ignored us and we left. Thatâs about it for this review.

Have eaten here many times (been going for about 15 years) in the past and never had a bad meal. Food always delicious. Tina who owns the restaurant does everything herself: the front of house, waiting, the cooking and no doubt the washing up afterwards. So you'll need to be patient, but the food is well worth the wait. I recently visited on 10/09/16, and the food was as fantastic as always. I had the nems (never tried before, but will have again) which is like a spring roll that's eaten rolled up in a lettuce leaf with mint inside. For the second course, I had chicken shop suey which was chicken in a sweet and sour sauce with vegetables and the Cantonese rice (special fried rice). Everything is freshly cooked and always served hot. The decor inside the restaurant is fresh and clean. However, the chairs are not the best.... But overall, eating here is probably the closest I've come to Asian food without going to Asia.
