This is the second location of Ashoka Restaurant. You can enjoy the same delicious Indian and Nepalese food in Ashoka Kinkerstraat too. Visit us and let us surprise you.
We went to Ashoka based off of the previous reviews on TripAdvisor. Also we received a 30% discount for booking a table which made it very affordable. We were slightly skeptical as the restaurant was completely empty, however the service we received was first class and the food was exemplary. 100% recommend.

This restaurant sticks to a very limited range of dishes, but does them extremely well. There are 4 different types of pho, for instance, but the owner recommended âone or two.â We had delicious starters - a mixture of deep fried items and a perfect shrimp spring roll - and wished we hadnât when 2 huge bowls of very substantial soup arrived. The meat in the pho, and all of the vegetables were fresh, and the broth added a very flavoursome complement.A Vietnamese lady on the neighbouring table confirmed the authenticity of the dish.Three caveats, if they bother people: 1) no alcohol, just soft drinks from the fridge; 2) this is a very small place - there is space for about 12 people, and it was very full all the time we were there and 3) the decor is very basic with metal tables and basic seating. Itâs worth it, though, for the food and the price - about 20 euros a head for two very full stomachs.

Amsterdam is ready to enjoy the Japanese quality food in a casual setting with a good glass of sake and shochu. We have a great selection of sashimi and sushi for you but there is so much more to the Japanese kitchen than sushi. Besides sushi we offer adv
I had the full tasting menu as a birthday treat to myself, it was wonderful from beginning to end. Involuntary appreciative noises when you are eating is always a good sign and I had so many of those. Every course was at least very good, if not excellent and as there were so many different parts often something that made me make an odd noise of appreciation Excellent service, not overly formal and friendly but also traditional and helped me to have some sake, which I really enjoyedI canât think of a meal that I have enjoyed more, not cheap but to me great value and tbh if I lived in Amsterdam I would be visiting that full tasting menu every month. It really was that good. I will be back the next time I am in the city

Stumbled across this small restaurant. Excellent advice from the chef who helped us to choose dishes. The flavours were superb, lovely fresh ingredients and you can see the food being cooked. Really friendly service. We will definitely return.

Welcome to Teppanyaki Restaurant Sazanka, sizzling with life. Amidst a vibrant and sociable atmosphere, guests gather around expert Japanese teppanyaki chefs as they prepare sumptuous dishes with flair and precision on hot iron griddles, right before dine
If the words; excellence, service, exclusive, warm, amazing - work in one sentence than itâll be a good fit to describe the experience at the Sazanka First, the ambience of the restaurant is spectacular, the service is warm, kind and responsive - even when I told them that Iâm a carnivore in a Japanese restaurant it didnât phase them. We had the cook work at our table, watching him turn everyday ingredients into amazing food just in front of you is an awesome experience, especially as not one detail got missed and the presentation of the plate was trying to break records with every dish that was served. The pictures Iâve attached do demonstrate the dishes but looking at the pictures after the meal it seems like they didnât really capture the dishes properly, so look at the pictures and expect more & better If youâre a foodie than you have to go to the Sazanka, itâs worth the money

Royal Indonesian Rijsttafels and Candlelight Dinner Cruises for food connoisseurs and business groups of up to 200 guests.
Recommended here and by our hotel for the famous Reistafel, we made a reservation here ofr a Friday eveningout. Good vegan options and one of us had the classic menu which was also delicious. There are several bars in the city centre within five minutes' walk of this place and you can stroll along the canal from the restaurant to the square.
