Visiting The highlands with friends the restaurant was recommended to us and it did not disappoint ! We were tempted by the Sunday buffet which was good value at £12.95.A great choice of food on the buffet which is like a tasting menu if you arenât sure what to have.It was like a flavour explosion.Absolutely gorgeous, it was topped off with popadoms and fresh nann bread which was just gorgeous:-) Service was superb and I can not fault the place.

I have visited the Balti Cottage frequently over the past few years and I have never been disappointing. The food is always very tasty, perfectly cooked and the service is fantastic. The staff are always very friendly and attentive and you can see that this is a well run family business. I will continue to order take away from here as long as it is open.

The dining room on ground floor holds about 16 people and Miss Ying (the real person) cooks in the kitchen above. She makes very good Thai food.We had a two hour layover in Dingwall at midday and took TripAdvisor's advice and walked to Miss Ying for lunch before heading off to Plockton. Service was friendly, some of the locals shared conversation with us, and the food was very good. One bit of advice; it seems in Scotland that Thai food is not served with much spice so you might want to ask for more spice. Again, the taste was great, I was just tired and did not think to ask to have my predilection for spice satisfied.NB: CASH Only.
