New restaurant, related to Empire Palace in Aliquippa, PA. Best Chinese I have had in many years, with portions large enough for 2. 5-star dining.
Stopped for a late lunch. Large dining area that can handle a good evening crowd. Not sparkling, but clean enough. Entrees come with soup or egg roll. Food was better than average. Large selection of Chinese dishes. Service was a bit slow, even though the crowd was very thin at the time.

Took family of 5 here Saturday night and had the following: chicken larb rating 4 of 5, summer rolls 4/5, chili chicken basil 4/5, chicken eggplant basil 4/5, Thai fried rice 3/5, chicken drunken noodles, teriyaki chicken 3/5. Wine and beer only no liquor, good bottle beer selection. Service was attentive and friendly. Quality was very good, portions small for what you would typically get at a Thai restaurant. Have had much better Thai in many parts of the country but high quality Thai is pretty limited in Pittsburgh. Overall 4 rating and would try again.

China Star is near by K-Mart,OfficeMax and Giant Eagle in McIntyre Square Shopping Center (on 7900 McKnight Rd.), 1.5 mile from Ross Park Mall,3 miles from North Park, 8 miles from the Pittsburgh Downtown(12 min.driving), in the North of the Pittsburgh.
We visit this gem regularly for our chilli oil fix. Everything we've tasted here is hot, richly spiced and deeply flavored. Not for the faint of heart, many of these authentic Asian preparations feature ingredients not found in your typical Chinese restaurants. Familiar ingredients are transformed into new sensations. One favorite is a whole pork shoulder in a complex, hot sauce served with a huge carving knife stuck into it. Fantastic. This is the perfect place to be adventurous. So far, we haven't had a dish we haven't happily devoured in its entirety. Portions are ample. Prices are very reasonable. Service is well meaning and friendly, but sometimes communications can get jumbled. The whole experience is nevertheless well worth many return visits. Very highly recommended.

My husband and I usually go here for lunch, not dinner, since that's when we're in the area, and Sushi Tomo is always good. After five trips to Japan, we know fresh sushi, and Sushi Tomo never disappoints. My husband usually orders sushi, but I like the bento boxes, and there's a nice variety from which to choose. They were crowded the last time we were there, but service still moved along efficiently. If you appreciate good sushi -- or delicious bento -- this is the place to go in the Pittsburgh area.

There is always something tasty on the menu at Sesame Inn. We usually get the Amazing Chicken, Sesame Beef or Chicken Pad Thai. This time went a little off-the-board with the Capital Chicken and The House Special Duck. Both were quite good, but I think the chicken was little better than the duck. As always, service was quick and attentive. Definitely a solid option for great Chinese in the Pittsburgh area.

Restaurants are pretty scare in Hampton Township and new venues donât often last, but Iâm hoping Kanlaya sticks around and that the folks in Hampton will give it a chance. We ordered takeout and the soups, chicken satay and a noodle dish (drunken noodles) were spicy and delicious! The interior is also very attractive and open, plus BYOB with a very minimal corkage fee! Servers were kind and friendly. Plenty of parking. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.

I have had Le Thai on my radar for some time, but had not yet had the opportunity to give it a try. Based on feedback from other TripAdvisor reviewers, it was time to take the step. I ordered take away vs eat in and chose a few of my Thai favorites: basil chicken and Thai fried rice. The fried rice was very good w overall fresh flavor, tho it could have been a bit more spicy. The basil chicken was fresh, but w a bit too much of the 'licorice' flavor. I would definitely return to try a few more of the menu items, because every thing was well prepared: crisp vegetables, great combination of flavors and quick service. All of those qualities you want in a meal.

So many average Asian/Chinese restaurants so when i found this gem, I am reporting to you! All the dishes i have tried here are quite flavorful and delicious. My usual is Chicken Teryaki with broccoli and snow peas with side of rice. Also get a small salad and either clear or miso soup. Under $14 !!! I do not eat Sushi but my son had the Sashimi dinner plate today and said it was prepared well and tasted great..presentation was nice from what i could see. The toughest critics my mom and wife CLEANED their plates of their main courses . Never tried a desert there. Servers very friendly and they come by often to check on water and if food is prepared right. The only be careful is they close from 3 pm -4:30 pm weekdays, they are open for lunch and dinner. For lunch they have a $10 bento box which is a great value and gives you multiple items to taste. My wife and i try to eat here 2-3 times a month. For once Healthy eating that tastes great too.
