We produce a high caliber of exclusive and exquisite dishes from the South Eastern coast, North Indian and Bengali cuisine from India.
Another excellent meal at this restaurant,Service friendly and faultless, food excellent. There isnât really much to say other than that. Perhaps it could be said the menu is a little limited, but when the food is that good, thatâs a bonus. We consider it One of the best âIndianâ restaurants in the Birmingham area.

There are many curry restaurants in Aldridge and in my opinion this is one of the best, the staff are very attentive, very friendly and know us now as regular customers, food is always very good, well presented and just the right amount of spice whatever you ask for, very good value for money too

Have visited before when the restaurant was really busy and the service was excellent BUT this time the restaurant was not so busy, the food was still excellent but the service was very slow.Hi 1951Teddy28,Thanks for choosing to dine at Five Rivers recently, your constructive feedback is very much appreciated. I hope to see you dine with us again in the near future.

I went to this restaurant in September with my family, staff and the manager could not have been any more helpful, they were extremely welcoming and attentive. I was really excited to try different dishes due to amazing reviews on this website, I must say the quality and texture of the food wasn't anything like described in the reviews. It was sub-standard, to put it mildly. We had to return the butter chicken dish- it was just so sweet and characterless, to their credit they gave us another dish which wasn't particularly good. Either we were extremely unlucky to have such a bad food experience or something not right about the reviews. I would happily give 5/5 for hospitality, it can't justify any more than 2/5 for taste. I simply unsure if ours was an isolated incident- i hope that is the case-I was bitterly disappointed.

Had high expectations given the reviews. However, the food is average at best unfortunately. Between a party of three we tried a few meat based dishes and some vegetarian options. None of them seemed especially authentic and the vegetarian thali was decidedly expensive at around £16 with some fairly nondescript bowls of food. The service is however rather goodHowever, when you are faced with a menu with several tens of options for starters and mains, you have to wonder why they almost insist on preparing something 'off the menu'.Well the simple fact is up-sell. Many main course curries are around the £10 mark. Their 'off the menu' specials are typically around £12.I'm British Asian born in the Midlands so know what good a curry tastes like. Given the quality on offer at other local establishments whilst I am glad I tried Chennai, I won't be rushing back soon.

Took my hubby here for his birthday (& his first visit). Friendly welcome, warm, inviting atmosphere. Helpful waiting staff gave suggestions & advice and we both actually tried something new! Meals hot, delicious and portions hearty. Good value too, both had starters & mains (plus roti) and only a little over £30. Thanks to all & see you again soon!Dear Diane R,Thank you very much for your nice and kind review. We take great pride in providing great foods and service to our guests in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. So we are glad to know that we met your expectations.Thank you very much for your visit again and hope to see you soon.

Stayed down the road at Fairlawns Hotel and Spa, but did not fancy their menu so came here. A terrific decision. Great decor, staff, menu and delicious food. The choice is so much wider than the traditional 'Indian/Bangladeshi' menu and it was all delicious. Keenly priced too. Bring your own alcohol because it doesn't have a licence. Everyone except us had done that. Highly recommend this restaurant.

My friend and I eat here every first Monday in the month and we wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and the food is superb, delicious every time, it never wavers and is excellent value for money. The staff are just lovely, so friendly and funny and, as regular customers for the last 2 years, we really feel at home.Compliments to all the staff - you're great!

My hubby and I visited for something different. Took well over half hour for our starters to arrive.Customer service was pleasant but not altogether focused on the right place. Not helped by the fact that the staff are sheltered behind a wall so can easily forget you're there or that you may need attention. It only takes placing the staff in the right section to avoid this.Food: when the starters did arrive, they were really nice, we had a mixed grill (small but ample for a starter portion) and some chicken pieces which were really tasty. The mains, well there was a lentil curry dish that I found too concentrated, and the Thai green curry.. Yep doesn't taste like usual Thai green curry ; it was different, but quite tasty. It is worth going to try, but we won't be rushing back. I might return in a few months to see how they establish themselves. The menu was very extensive, so perhaps that can cause them some stress in the kitchen who knows.
