A cosy little Restaurant with a nice wiew in Hjalteyri Eyjafjördur Akureyri. Serving soups with homebaked bread, shushi, fish, coffee homemade cakes and desserts. On a good day you could even see whales out of the windows in our restaurant. LÃtill og kósý
So nice to find a small family restaurant right on the harbor that has fantastic food. Terrific house-made bread ... Fish soup to die for.... Excellent service by a dutiful granddaughter.

We had Vietnamese style fresh vegetable rolls to start followed by one each of Panang, Massaman, and Yellow curries. All were excellent and the portions were generous. They will do pretty much any dish as a vegetarian option although they are not shown as such on the menu, you just have to ask. Great place to eat out in the town.

Sushi train Restaurant with close ties to the popular Rub23 restaurant. Our goal is to make quality sushi and sticks at an affordable price. There are 5 prices on the dishes - 250 kronur to 500 kronur so you only pay for what you eat. Follow us on Faceboo
We enjoyed choosing our sushi off the moving belt. Lots of basics-salmon, shrimp, tuna on rice. I liked that they kept the sushi and rice smaller size, easier to get in your mouth. There was also some shrimp tempura. Not too many exciting rolls but each small plate you chose was $4. Can't beat that. Of course, you could eat about ten small plates. They also had dessert on the belt. Variety of cakes. There is no menu and you can also take carry out.

Good Asian food can be hard to find in Europe, but this Chinese restaurant was a welcome surprise. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Beef with Mushrooms. We also ordered fried rice, not realising the steamed rice comes with the meal, so we had way too much rice! But the fried rice (like the rest of the food) was delicious, so it was worth it. I enjoyed it so much I was happy to find a branch of the same restaurant in Reykjavik, so we ate there too!Looking at other reviews, we seem to have been lucky to have an English speaking waitress, so it may just depend on what day you go.
