Desperate for a sushi train fix we ambled hopefully into Yatai sushi ready to satisfy our Japanese hunger. With only four customers already dining, out seating options were aplenty. Or so we thought. Every empty space was filled with dirty plates, spilled sauce, and empty beer bottles still to be cleared. We commenced our own considerable clean up operation in the hope of drawing the attention and/or assistance of the six staff. We had no luck and cleared and wiped down everything ourselves. After sampling a single plate, we took one look at the emaciated range of sushi going around the train and left for the other sushi restaurant across town. It was a solid decision.

Great place and surprised by some of the bad reviews. We ate here several times on our trip to Airlie and we are certainly not easy to please. We didn't try the sushi but can 100% vouch for the vegi poke bowls (made fresh) and the chicken katsu curry. Great flavours and great portion sizes. Our go to place in Airlie and extremely reasonably priced at 10 bucks a dish. Give the poke bowls a go.

It's got reasonable priced bowls of noodles and Rice, there is no eat in or dine in. Just takeaway. Was told 25 mins, was 35 mins.It gets busy and has no real waiting seats. Just a couple in the corner. Went across road for a beer while waiting, always a good option. Food was delicious, filling. Pictures on the menu are NOT accurate, you'll get very mini prawns like the ones in fried rice when it shows large ones. It comes with mostly the noodle or rice and things like seafood or veges leave little to be desired. Still quite tasty and service was very friendly.

So impressed with this 'hidden gem'.. fine dining Asian/Ozzie style with friendly, efficient & attentive service, stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back with friends and family. The perfect place for a special occasion. Loved it!!
Had the fried chicken, hot and spicy chicken and kimchi fried rice. The fried chicken were delicious and not oily. The hot and spicy chicken is quite spicy and had a few tteokbokki in it. The sauce actually went nicely together with the kimchi fried rice.

Stopped by for lunch; licensed, street food type setting opposite the water at Airlie. Had the chicken satay & vegetable spring rolls, then a pho dish (huge serve) & the "jumping beef" & rice all cooked to order and fresh & fragrant. Fast service, with a smile, will be back to try some more dishes.

Great food, great service, great beers, great cocktails, great reviews and an amazing view... What more could you need? We try hard to help you chill out in our little Treehouse.
Following our early morning swim in the Airlie Beach Lagoon had breakfast in the Treehouse which overlooks the Lagoon through the trees. Friendly staff and good service. Enjoyed very much the smashed avocado which was ample serving and good coffee accompanied. Went a couple times during our 7 day stay in Airlie.

Our duty is to draw from the diverse and evolving roots of Asian cuisine. Keeping the essence of Asian techniques, flavours and composition.
Read the reviews and decided to try it! Amazing tofu vegetables! Per hubby: The crispy chicken was out of this world! The kung pau (sp?) chickenâs heat was challenging! Tofu was the best he had ever eaten. Great service as well! Highly recommend! Will not disappoint!
