I was staying at a nearby hotel and Cheddar's was an easy walk. It was a busy Friday night and the hostess said possibly a 15 to 20 minute wait. I was traveling with my Dad and he was comfortable with sitting at the bar, so we found two spots without a problem. The restaurant itself was and IS inviting, a nice hip place with a beautiful fish aquarium behind the bar. The menu offered a little something for everyone and plenty of choices for adult beverages. We both ordered a steak with a potato and salads. The salad was super refreshing and the meal was superb! Service was spot on. My overall experience at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen was wonderful. I didn't find the prices to be hard on my pocket. I thought they were right in line with most chain restaurants. I will say, my Dad was a little chilly. They're not afraid of air-conditioning. So if some of you get a little chilly from air-conditioning, you may want to bring a sweater or a heavier shirt to throw over your shoulders while relaxing during a meal. But by all means don't pass by this restaurant without trying it. I want to go back, I saw other things I need to try before giving it five stars. But I bet within another visit or two, I'll be convinced to do so.

Wanted a good breakfast to start my day of traveling. This is the spot. Not your typical diner for sure. Great staff. The breakfast was quick to come out and the place was packed with guests at 10am on a Sunday. Food was top notch.

My wife and I ate there last night (March 30) to celebrate our anniversary. We'd not eaten there in about two years. When I called to make reservations the maitre d' (Chris) was very pleasant and asked me if we were celebrating any occasion. I can't ever remember any restaurant asking me that when making a reservation. When we pulled up into the parking lot we noticed a nice addition; a latticed outdoor eating area which we will be sure to sample as the days get warmer.My wife had the grilled brussel sprouts and cranberries and she really enjoyed this appetizer. I had the evening special of the day tomato soup with croutons. It was less than stellar but okay. For our entrees my wife had the Duck with mushrooms and Fettucine with Alfredo sauce. She raved about it and the portion was so ample she brought home enough for another full meal. I had (not to good on the actual menu names) Seafood Sampler with cream sauce. A delicious meal with copious amounts of lobster, shrimp, and bay scallops. Mixed in was spinach and red pepper. A truly wonderful meal and again a very generous portion so I was able to bring home a large portion. I had one mixed drink and my wife had a glass of Pinot Grigo. We passed on dessert but the server brought over a nice surprise slice of anniversary pound cake with a light cinnamon glaze. The decor was tasteful and there were about ten other tables with guests. We went to Holy Hound for my husband's birthday dinner. He enjoys beer and Holy Hound has a lot on tap. He loves Pilsners but they don't have many on tap. I had the Pigs in Zen and it was very good albeit a bit spicy. My husband had the fish and chips and it was very good as well. It is a very lively downtown pub and we definitely recommend it.

Great location just off I- 83 and us 30 exit. Huge selection on the menu and large servings at a reasonable price makes this a busy place. This is comfort food at it's finest and they even have scrapple available.

Steak and dinner with parents....turn some lights on please....always too dark...(you won't )....and when we say " medium rare"....that is not medium or medium well....I even add the word "twitching yet " when ordering....4 people...4 steaks...all the same...and we ordered different .......anyways .,....what do you want for a $2 delmonico and 20 cents worth of sweet tader...for 25$ .......Thanks....! ....

We experienced terrible service and inconsistent food quality this evening. It took 10 mins to get recognized. Anytime our server came to our table of 6, the drinks and food were handed out from where she was standing by asking who got what. A soup was missed, food was served as it was made, not by course. They wouldnât make a smaller salad out of a dinner salad, so two of ask to split one. It was delivered as one salad without a second bowl for us to even split it. I ordered the fried oysters, named on their menu as a signature dish. The oysters were small and way over cooked. The broccoli was over cooked and mushy. To top it all, they included the gratuity in the bill. Others had okay meals, but we were all disappointed with the service. Thanks for the feedback. It's greatly appreciated. We apologize if our service did not meet your expectation. Our kitchen is well versed at firing courses correctly which leaves us a bit confused. Currently at this time we do not serve a small handmade organic spinach salad and presented a side plate for your table. We would have gladly presented a bowl had we known this was your preference. This season Fresh Oysters have been running smaller in size to due warmer waters so we in turn present a larger portion to accomadate this seasonal challenge. For parties of six or more we reserve the option to add gratuity which is a common practice... However missing the mark on your experience would and should not warrant this courtesy if we did not deliver an exemplary experience.If at all possible please share your thoughts onsite so we make immediate corrective action. Went here after 2PM. My salmon was very good. Broiled Haddock was also very good. Burger and Fries were appreciated. We ate in the atrium and appreciated the natural light.

Service could have been much better and the room was very noisy so it was very difficult to talk. I was not thrilled with choices on the menu. There twice for lunch and once for dinner. These visits were made when restaurant was new so sometime I might try it again

This is THE place to go for cocktails. Last visit I tried the seasonal Raspberry Lemondrop and Edelweiss and both were delicious and smooth. My go-to small dish is the calamari, sauce is amazing and it's cooked perfectly every time. The carrot cake cheesecake dessert has to be my absolute favorite thing they offer though, AMAZING.One thing that is consistent is the service, staff is knowledgeable and very attentive. Great place for a date night!
