After reading the reviews on this place I had high expectations. Unfortunately this old fashioned roadside restaurant was just average. Bay scallop roll was excellent, chicken sandwich was small and very bland. Oil needs to be changed in fryer. Large selection of ice cream but not handmade as you would expect. I believe it was Giffords ice cream. Overall not bad but I had expected something memorable.

I like coming to the Courthouse. All the dishes I have ordered are delicious. The waitresses and the bartenders are really nice. Sometimes the cast from a show at the historic Bradley Playhouse eats after a show.

Our philosophy reads, âFor a restaurant to be truly incredible, great food must compliment great service.â We look forward to creating a memorable dining experience for all who join us.
We coordinated about 1 month before our event and received professional service from the time we started communicating with owner and staff. As we arrived we were greeted and sat on the patio at a nicely arranged table for 20. Everyone had drinks in a blink and the charcuterie boards arrived at the tables while we perused the amazing menu. We had a group with children, young people, adults and elders. There was something for everyone and everyone was very pleased with their meal. We would recommend Jessica Tuesday's for events, family dinner, or date night. We would choose them again if planning an event in the Woodstock/Putnam area.Thank you!!!! The pleasure was all ours!

If you are craving for great homemade food, make Sherwood's Restaurant & Bar your top destination. We are a locally owned
We finally tried this place. I had head okay reviews from locals. We intended to eat lunch, but went in and were disappointed with the atmosphere. Very plain, no warmth, just didn't feel like a place we wanted to stay at. We ordered beers in the bar area, and had decided to just get appetizers. It took so long for the waitress to come back that my husband just said let's go somewhere else. I'm glad we finally went, but we won't be returning.

Chef and General Manager James Martin, along with brothers Barry and Brian Jessurun of The Vanilla Bean Café in Pomfret and Dog Lane Café in Storrs, opened 85 main in 2005. 85 main was created with goal of offering fresh, quality seafood and steaks along
We were meeting friends from RI and Utah (by way of Bristol, CT) for lunch and needed a place which would make for a reasonable drive for everyone. The folks from out west, who were originally New Englanders, made the choice and it was a good one. Putnam is an old mill town that has picked itself up by its bootstraps and has fashioned a pleasant recovering downtown which is still a work in progress. Whether the antique and home/gift stores are viable remains to be seen, but there are half a dozen dining and drinking establishments and this appears to be the most popular. On a warm and sunny summer day their outside dining area is quite inviting. An advantage of such a struggling town, there is plenty of free parking. It was fairly quiet on a Monday afternoon. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The menu choices were extensive, although several of the fish dishes were "sold out". Their website mentions fresh fish deliveries three days a week; Monday is not a likely candidate. Sandwiches, salads, a curried chicken dish and mussels were all well presented and enjoyed. The desserts were somewhat predictable, but also quite satisfactory. So, oft the beaten path, a viable venue. They are fairly priced for the quality and presentation.

We went here especially for their âRhode Island Stuffies â. They are stuffed clams or actually stuffed Quahog clams. Done as only Elizabethâs Restaurant can do them. Everyone has their own adaptation on stuffed clams. Their stuffies are excellent & well worth the drive. We split a New England style Lobster Roll that came with a fresh tortellini salad. That too was excellent, made with large chunks of lobster & a little mayo. Save room for a home made dessert or at least take one home. The best desserts ever! We were able to park out in front for free. Parking is available on the side too. Service was great! The place is very small. Putnam is an old mill town. No need to dress up crazy. The staff were all very nice and our server was excellent. Would go back again Iâm in town. If you go to dinner, you would be well advised to have an reservation.

Grill 37 is committed to using the freshest ingredients as possible. We use local products in our weekly specials but we are constantly looking for ways to incorporate local, CT grown food in our everyday menu. You can taste the difference! Everything is
Four of us attended the Gire and Ice event in Putnam last weekend. It was a great event, therefore the restaurants in Putnam were all booked up. We took a short drive out to Pomfret and happened upon the last table at Grille 37. From hostess to waitstaff everyone was engaging and the service on point. We each had different apppetizers, entrees and desserts. All delicious. We enjoyed the house flatbread with olive oil before appetizers. The clam chowder was creamy, tasty, and hot. I love piping hot food! The mussels plentiful. Dinners included mahi mahi with a mango salsa, flounder francaise, beef tips and shrimp and crawfish. Dessert included carrot cake and fresh raspberry sorbet. The only leftover was carrot cake. If youâre out this way, itâs convenient to the hospital and the Rectory School, this is a great (and surprisingly large)place for dinner. Come dressed for dinner or as you are.

Had my daughters 40th Birthday party here and couldnât have asked for better! We chose the cocktail menu ,sangria, and cake. It was superb! The hors dâoeuvres were plentiful and delicious ! The birthday cake was light and just perfect! I do have to say that what made it a great afternoon was the wait staff, Becky and Allyson ! They are the best! Super nice! The Inn is really a nice place to just go for supper or hold a party! Thanks to Lara also for her help.

We strive for your enjoyment, Join us at the The Mansion at Bald Hill for fine dining that suits any occasion, We offer a delicious menu of traditional American cuisine that you will love
Yes, the Mansion at Bald Hill lived up to its reputation and provide us an excellent experience in Northeast Connecticut. First, the menu was diverse and changes with the season. We had appetizers and main courses, but selected them off of the daily specials, versus the menus you can find on line. We felt the prices were fair for both the quality and size of the portions. Our veal dish was excellent. My appetizer, the Bruschetta was well constructed with fresh tomatoes. Iâm not a wine aficionado, but felt the wine menu was diverse enough to fit our tastes with good wine that was fairly priced. I would suggest that one budget between $50 and $70 per person for two courses and wine. The wait staff was great. I never felt deserted or ignored, nor overwhelmed with the need to eat and leave. The building is nice with some very pretty outside area for a stroll. It is air conditioned so comfortable on a very hot day. All in all, I would highly recommend going there for a special occasion.
